I absolutely love this place as a 30 year-old! I see that kids and teens have a blast, too! My wife and I came here at 4PM on a Saturday, and it was packed inside and outside. We took our time picking the pieces we wanted to paint, so when we finally chose, people had left and cleared some tables for us. You can come paint alone, with someone, or even have a birthday party here! It does get very loud inside when it is busy or there is a birthday, so I recommend bringing headphones or earplugs...seriously. You can use as many different colors as you want, and take as long as you want painting. When you are done, you bring it to the counter, pay, leave the item(s) with them, and come back in one week to pick up the final product! They have to fire-glaze it so it gets brighter in color and hardens into a beautiful, glossy looking item. The final comment I want to mention is the pricing (which I feel is fair). When you want to buy a custom decorated mug online, for example, you pay for the mug, the crafting of it, and then the shipping. One mug like that from online costs the same as 2 of these, AND you didn't get to make it yourself and have these memories. I feel the price is worth the memories you make here, and making something exactly how YOU want it. The employees are super nice, the place is clean and organized, and they do have a bathroom in back, but no drinks or food (even though the name...
Read moreI brought my 7 year old niece in to paint and the associate Amanda was very helpful and sweet. I love all the options to chose from and all the trust and freedom they give the customers using the supplies that I'm sure are very expensive.
My niece loved it so much that she asked to be signed up for the summer camp the following week. She has a medical condition and needs constant supervision, so I approached Amanda and Becky to see if they would be willing to let me sit with her while she participated in camp and they agreed without hesitation. Then we invited my other niece to join as well.
We are on day 2 of the camp and the girls are having an absolutely wonderful time. They've already made 6 or 7 projects of different media's. The lead instructor, Becky is patient, creative, helpful and so so sweet.
As an auntie on a budget, I can't always afford to come here. But every time I do my nieces and I have a...
Read moreGreat experience, though I had neither clay, nor latte. I went for the glass fusing projects, by myself. It was not busy when I went, so it was quiet with easy listening music playing. It took me a couple of hours to complete my project, and I didn't feel rushed by the staff at all. He was very helpful, even though he maybe didn't have a ton of experience with the glass art portion, and answered my questions, and even called the owner when he wasn't sure on something.
They have a keurig and pods so you can make yourself a hot beverage, on the house. I didn't partake, because it was pretty late in the day for me to be drinking coffee.
I would definitely absolutely go back again, except that it is located in Vista, which is a bit of a drive from my home near Lindbergh Field, and having to drive back up there again to pick up the project after it's been fired is less convenient...
