Wow! This restaurant is all around AMAZING! Yesterday, I had reservations at the Chili's, close by, for a party of 20 and 4 minutes before our reservations they gave our tables away.....PURA VIDA came to the RESCUE!
I called them and Alondra explained that they do close at 9pm but they really want to make sure I have a good birthday party so she asked if that would be okay with the kitchen. My large party came over. It was only Alondra and Andrea working but they did an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING job. They juggled multiple checks, orders, and even had a chance to surprise me with an Ice Cream Cart, after. It was so epic!
They also allowed my friend to play his instrument for a few minutes for my birthday. Pura Vida really came through for me. Plus, I heard the drinks were epic. I tasted a cocktail and horchata and they were great! All the food was phenomenal. I'm so grateful for the service, smiles, and attention Pura Vida paid to my party with almost no heads up of us coming. I will absolutely be back to eat. The fajitas and tacos were delicious. I had the chicken taquitos, which...
Read moreMy husband and I went to celebrate my birthday and it was a disappointment. Their instagram advertised a fun birthday celebration, which is why I chose this place and when mentioned it was my birthday, no surprises like their instagram happened. I only got a free flan for dessert, which tasted fine. For dinner, I had the puerto Nuevo lobster which was flavorless and very dry. My husband had the surf and turf plate and it was decent. The drinks are okay as well. We let our waiter know about the lobster and he said he would check with the kitchen, which meant nothing. Our waiter was friendly though. Since my food was a disappointment, I thought there would be some kind of accommodation like a discount off the bill, but there wasn’t. I am mostly disappointed with how their instagram is advertised to be a fun place to celebrate birthdays and I did not receive that experience. My husband and I truly Feel that Pura Vida is such a downgrade from when it was culichi town. The menu is also small compared to...
Read moreOur service was good. Our server was nice and helpful. The place is very dark in general. Chairs are black, tables are black, blinds are black, plates are black, napkins are black. Every damn thing is black. I ordered the flight of Margaritas. It comes in 4 different flavors with four different types and they were all awful. I didn’t finish any of them. Ordered ceviche as an appetizer, but it came at the same time with the food. It had 3 types. One was ok, the other two we didn’t like. We both got fajitas and that was good but didn’t come with a side of guacamole or Pico de gallo. Overall, we really hoped to like this place but it was sadly disappointed. Not...
