The community at Echelon Health and Fitness is top-notch. The atmosphere is consistently positive, personal, and professional. Full of healthy individuals mind, body, and spirit. The ultimate experience has been as part of the THRIVE program. With this small-group training program, I have reached a new level of strength, endurance, physique, and self- confidence than I have ever been able to achieve on my own. But don't misunderstand me, the program fosters individual accountability within an encouraging team atmosphere, not dependency or cult-like competition. It is unlike anything I've ever come across in my experiences at several other gyms. Every THRIVE session maximizes my time. I NEVER leave the gym feeling disappointed with my performance, even on days when I am tired or mentally- off. THRIVE is built to facilitate individual gains and progress while meeting the individual where they are at. THRIVE instructors are knowledgeable about the THRIVE curriculum and the unique health journeys of the individuals they are responsible for. I am so grateful to my THRIVE coach, O'Shane Rose, for his dedication to THRIVE expertise and preparation so that my every workout is thoughtfully planned and swiftly executed. When you look at the THRIVE room during peak hours, you should realize the intense chaos is actually a masterful, organized orchestration of individual workouts in teams. I never have to wait for a piece of equipment I need. There is always space for what I need to do. The THRIVE cohort I belong to under O'Shane's instruction is a great group of people I look forward to seeing and working out with every day, while we range in age and ability level. The group has welcomed me and encourages me to be my best, brightest, fullest, and most sincere self, in all my goofiness, outgoingness, and even insecurity. Recently, I had a ski accident that has led to a minor back injury requiring 6 weeks of rest for recovery. Within the first week of my injury, I received a bright card with well wishes and signatures from my cohort and others. I realized two weeks into recovery, and just starting to mentally settle from the trauma, I should put my THRIVE billing on hold. When I contact O'Shane with that request, he had already taken care of it. This support has been so uplifting. Another positive experience as a member of Echelon and THRIVE has been the gym challenges. Never in the past would i have been interested in a gym challenge. However, O'Shane facilitated a 6-week challenge for just our cohort. There was no entry fee and everyone did it, so there was no reason not to try. Turns out I ended up winning the category for most muscle mass gained. I learned from this challenge, that any skill level has a shot at winning gym challenges and the boost of motivation it enables is fun and impactful. I learned that O'Shane funds the prizes for our cohort challenges personally. I was stunned to hear this because it is so clear to me how that experience further solidified me as a loyal customer and avid promoter of the gym and THRIVE program. In fact, it is the reason why I had the confidence and determination to pay the entry fee for the next gym-wide challenge available. Wanting to share this insight, managing partner, Jeff Quinn, welcomed my feedback on the positive experience I've had with THRIVE. One additional thing I love about the gym as a whole is its dedication to community engagement. It is well-connected with small business throughout the region, offering gym clients opportunities to save on a plethora of purchases. I feel really good about being a patron of such a community-minded business. I offer this witness that I myself and our local community are made better by the impact Echelon Health and...
Read moreIf i could give this gym a negative star i would. I have never wrote a review for any place or organization but this place makes me angry. All they care about is money, they never tell you the truth and it’s always something different every time you call and you speak to someone. Since being a customer at their gym prices always changed and was always expensive compared to other gyms and they didn’t even have as much as what other gyms had but I still continued to go. I frozed my account due to going away for school. They did not tell me that over a certain period they would charge me, whoever I spoke to would not refund my money or allow me to cancel my account. They said they would keep it for balance until I come back in the summer. I checked my bank statement today and they took more money today so I called them they said it was the annual fee and they still take it even when the account is frozen, which no one told me and I told them the first time I called I lost the paper and they were suppose to send me another one. So instead of letting me cancel the first time like I asked, they took my balance for the annual and additional and now that I told them I wanted to cancel again because I am tired of continually randomly getting charged, they want me to pay for another month in order to cancel and the lady I spoke to got loud and yelled at me. I said just cancel it I will pay that month and act like I am giving it to charity so I don’t have to deal with this gym again, she yelled and said I would have to come in or send certified mail and they would still take that month fee. All they care about is money, I am paying and I haven’t been in the gym for months and I am not even in town currently, that’s almost at least $100 they have taken and they want more. This is ridiculous and I am furious. This is money that could be paying for my books and tuition and loans. I only came to this gym because it was close to home, I will never return when I come back and never recommend people to this gym ever again. I am sorry that I ever told my friends to come to this place because several of my friends are dealing with the...
Read moreI've been with Echelon Health & Fitness for a few years now and the way they operate is amazing! Last year was a mess with covid and they were able to do great things by giving their members choices, like outdoor classes at a discount rate, letting you freeze your membership and not have to pay until you felt comfortable to work out at the gym again, a whole cleaning/sanitizing system all GREAT. Everyone struggled last year but these things made life just a bit more normal. Gyms are a dime a dozen but what makes this gym AMAZING is the atmosphere & staff. Everyone is so friendly, you don't feel uncomfortable about working out and they have these challenges that you can enter and why not you're already working out might as well have a chance to win prizes! Case in point, I recently was in the summer fit challenge where our training team "TEAM ALYSSA '' won the group challenge and I won the grand prize a life time membership to the gym and four thousand dollars! What gym does these things!!!! And of course shout out to the Thrive trainers what an amazing group of people they are always cheering you on and encouraging you. I'm the type of person that needs that accountability, someone in my corner pushing me and I hit the jackpot with Alyssa! She is an amazing coach. She truly is someone that can say she loves her job! Her ability to make you laugh at the same time she's killing you with a work out program is an awesome feeling! She is very knowledgeable, understands if you can't do something specific she will modify it right there on the spot for you, her sense of humor, & her personality makes you feel like she is your best friend that you have known for ever and the best part is your getting an amazing workout the whole time. I actually look forward to training 3x a week for an hour with her! Hat's off to all the staff, class instructors, owners and personal trainers you are AMAZING! If your looking for a gym or personal training this is the place you...
