Panda Express — Restaurant in Waco

I have to admit this is probably the first one star review I've ever given... and what's bad is I love Panda Express. In this location don't bother going between probably 11:45am and 1pm because the service is just too slow. Today when I was there the issues I saw were they offered everyone a sample which I"d say 80% of the people took advantage of plus the person serving the line was mixing online orders with the orders in line. So they did one online order, then the person in front of me, then two online orders, then I was next.

Then the biggest issue ... the only reason I went there was to get super greens with broccoli and beef. I was told they were out of super greens and weren't making any more. I told them I didn't mind waiting and this was the only reason I waited in line 28 minutes to that point (yes not exaggerating), but they just said sorry they weren't making any more.

Unfortunately I'll have to nix Panda Express unless it's just at a completely oddball time or call ahead to make sure they had what I needed. I wish they would've announced to the crowd they were out of one of their main sides in-case others were in the same boat as I. Plus I saw 4 people leave the line and 3 walk into the store and turn away due to the line. If I had've been in line for 5 minutes to hear about the super greens maybe it wouldn't have been a big issue... but in line 28 minutes I had to go back to work empty handed as I didn't have time to get anything else.

Please -- get someone who only does online orders to move the line faster and the sign asking patrons to request samples should be good enough for people to request it if they want it. Some will always take it (free food!) which when there's 25 people in line just slows it down.

Manager discriminates against White people.

I went into Panda express today and experienced first hand the discrimination and disrespect by the Manager there Miguel. I approached the counter and began my order, noticing that the Honey walnut shrimp looked nice and fresh I asked if I could be served from the container of fresh shrimp. Miguel the "Manager" looks to me and says "No I have to give you what's left of this pot" Now mind you I am not above taking something that isn't AS fresh but on this day what was left in that pot looked very distasteful.

I asked him nicely if he could at least exclude the brown and over cooked shrimp as he begrudgingly moved it aside, he proceeds to give me a very poor portion of a premium priced item again this is not the issue. The issue arrives when he then turns around and serves this wonderful Hispanic couple behind me from what I was asking to be served from. When I asked him why I couldn't be served as my peers were served he became very agitated with me saying "I made a big deal about it"

I cannot speak for others but If I'm a Manager of a store or restaurant and a customer/guest asks for some sort of accommodation, I would certainly try my best to make it happen so that my guest feels that I care about them and not treat them as poorly as Miguel treated me. I my family are just one Customer for Panda express but they have lost us as customers. I will go where people chose to treat others with respect and not discriminate...
