Five Below — Local services in Waco

we are big fans of five and below and had such high expectations for this new location. Although the store is nice and clean and wonderfully stocked, we had such a awkward check out. (SELF-CHECKOUT) One of the employees took it upon themselves to approach me and my daughter (1 year old) and as my daughter had found change that was discarded and was playing with it. The employee walked over and she had said wow you have money . I had let her know. Yeah, she found it . the employee, then took the money from my child hands. When my daughter asked for it back, she replied this is the stores money not yours. it left a horrible taste in my mouth as she literally was taking money from a baby. it was not more the 75¢ . knowing that this is a store that a lot of children enjoy going to. I would hope that the customer service would be...

There's a lot of cool items and it's easy to just fill a cart with little gifts and impulse buys. I come here usually for the incense and bag-stuffers for birthdays and gift holidays. I'm glad they reopened the self checkouts so the singular store worker in the entire building (that I saw) would have to stop what she's doing and ring us out. She just supervised us, but not invasively close. I've never had a bad experience here, though this store has less stock and different items than the other 5 below at the central Texas...

This Store Seems very poorly managed. Over two weeks ago, I had a problem with the shelf having one price and them charging a higher price. I took it up with a mgr. Today Two weeks later, stop in, same exact problem with the same item, and dealt with the same mgr. This feels like bait and switch. The Mgr remembers when brought it up the first time but did not give a good answer on why it was not fixed with in two weeks.
