The beach is free to visit, but it is small and parking is limited. Be careful where you park, the restaurant to the right of the beach has designated parking and will come over to you to ask if you are ordering from them. If not, they instruct you to move on. So watch out for that. The beach is very small but is functional for sand play. The water is warm, however it has algae EVERYWHERE. You will leave with it all over your body and in your swimsuit. Watch out for the trash in the water and the dead fish as well. There are no buoys for you to gauge where to swim to and be safe with the boats out on the lake. No lifeguard on duty either. The reason for my visit was the lake I went to was closed to swimming and we needed an alternative. I can now say I have been here, but I do not think I will be going back. One visit was good enough for me...

It is fairly clean, and a short walk from street parking to the beach and a few more steps to the water for a dip. This is good for me because I am challenged by walking and the further I walk the more intense the pain so it's a doable distance. You could use a sturdy walker with 4 wheels to assist but I would not try it with a two wheeled walker.

There is a slight decline to the beach but really not much compared to other lakes I have visited. The walk to the beach is the shortest I have experienced too.

There are a few picnic tables. No life guard on duty and no boat or inner tube to assist in saving a drowning person so don't drown if yyou go in. Water is still with occasional small waves...

I didn't see the sign about not bringing dogs to this beach, I'm from Detroit so it's the second time that I've ever come to Walled Lake. Never coming back again, I got hounded by 4 people all at once to tell at me that my dog is not allowed. I told them that I will leave but I need to get my shoes from the other side of the beach (there were residents with their little dogs as well who no one seemed to mind). One of the women told me that she doesn't care about my shoes. I'm not welcome here so just leave. The amount of animosity I received from them including the on-lookers who muttered racial slurs is truly upsetting. I went back to my...

A cozy public beach on the north shore of Walled Lake; there's a little playground if you're kid isn't into the sand and water, and they recently constructed what looks to be a restroom (currently filled with porta-potties but I'm hoping that will change). There are benches and tables available if you don't like sitting in the sand, and a nice amount of sunny & shady areas. There are also buoys in the water that show swimmers/boaters where to go & not go. Parking is limited adjacent to the park, but you can find a street spot nearby (or just walk/bike if you live within a couple miles); downtown Walled Lake is very pedestrian-friendly :)

Live in the Water, Total "Lake Life" Family. Kids love this beach & its within walking distance, added bonus. City of Walled Lake seems to do a very good job removing debris & maintaining everything. I will say I've been kind of surprised the last two times we visited the beach to see people drinking liquor straight out of the bottle and going on like they were at a college house Sadly, there's been far too many disrespectful Beach goers this summer too lazy to pick up after themselves or their children, dont throw trash away properly and have left entire meals/fixings laying in the sand.

Beautiful lake with with a surrounding bike lake, a couple of beach spots around it and some cozy places for food and drinks. Unfortunately most of the land around the lake is private, the beaches are actually pretty small and pretty crowned. However, the area is very enjoyable and the people friendly. It's a prime area for boat riding, kayaking and beach stuff.
