Big Dip Burgers in Walled Lake is an absolute gem that promises not only a meal but a full-flavored, sensory experience that lures you back time and time again. Having visited multiple times with my family, I can confidently say that this place holds a special spot in our hearts and taste buds.
Let's start with the stunning array of food offerings. Big Dip Burgers boasts some of the most delightful corn dogs that you'll ever bite into. Crispy on the outside with a soft, savory center, they are an absolute delight for both kids and adults. But the magic doesn't stop there. Their chicken dishes are fantastic juicy, tender, and seasoned just right to wow your palate.
Now, it would be a massive oversight not to gush about their ice cream sundaes. Each sundae is a joyous celebration of sweet, creamy decadence, topped with an array of flavorful toppings that make every spoonful unforgettable. Perfect for a warm day or to cap off a satisfying meal.
And then, we have the seasoned fries. In a league of their own, these fries are perfectly crispy with a seasoning blend that is simply out of this world. They're as good on their own as they are paired with any main dish.
What truly amps up the experience at Big Dip Burgers is the outdoor seating that provides a fresh, airy atmosphere to savor your meal. It's the perfect setting to enjoy good tunes, fantastic food, and quality time with friends and family. The music playing adds to the ambiance, with a mix that's lively yet relaxed, enhancing the vibe without overwhelming conversation.
Perhaps the crown jewel in Big Dip Burgers' charm is the wonderful staff and owners. Always on-site, they add a personal touch to the dining experience. Personable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about delivering fresh, hot food straight to your table, they make each visit feel special. They impress not just with efficiency but with warmth and a terrific knack for remembering regular patrons.
To sum it up, Big Dip Burgers is more than just a place to eat; it’s a haven of joy where delicious meets delightful in every corner. Whether you're a local or just passing through Walled Lake, do yourself a favor and dive into Big Dip's heavenly offerings. Each visit is a testament to why I highly recommend this spot as a great place to chill and indulge in some truly top-notch fare. Here’s to many more visits filled with satisfying meals and...
Read moreUPDATED - Since he decided to reply- I was in NO WAY rude to your day one employee AT ANYTIME. If you are referring to me asking her to write names on each order, that was not a rude request for a group order. She ask to have them each rung up individually , my reply was simple "no, its a group order under one bill" Great leader you are for her to learn from. I have read many reviews on here about you and your attitude. Good luck keeping customers. You should be ashamed that you actually told a customer that your kitchen wasn't even warmed yet! Thats the real reason you didn't want the order. Poor planning on your part. How long have you been in food service? BTW- Every review you made an excuse, when you gonna realize it's all you buddy!
Our company is local in this area, we do 10-12 person orders regularly to support our crew. We love supporting local business with good food. The reviews listed the burgers as being really good, we thought we would give them a try.
I called the day prior to confirm a few things-being able to take an order of that size, timing to call in or place order online, and what forms of payment, along with their hours.
I called my order in 45 minutes prior to needing a pick up. I was told by the wonderful Alex that " no idea when we could pick it up, an order this size will take up his whole kitchen". I ask "what do we do wait for you to call me, do I show up in 45 minutes what's the program? " He couldn't tell me when we could pick up the order. I ask if he wanted the order has said "at this point NO" Wow, your local business must be doing well!
He informed me he was the mgr, and that whoever i spoke with the day prior could've been anyone including a 15yr old.
There is more but you get the jist at this point.
Sad that a local establishment treats customers this way. Alex, Please don't bother responding with your excuses, I have seen your responses to other complaints you need a lesson in how to run a business without your...
Read moreLet's start with the pros: Covered picnic table seating, view of the lake, and the waffle fries are ok I guess.
Cons: Service is slooooooow. I assume it is so slow because they need to cook your burger to a boiling point. The burger is spongy and dry. The meat reminds me of frozen Chef Pierre precooked burgers. The burger is pretty big. Normally this should go under "pro" but in this case, there is just more to throw away. I really cannot remember the last time I disliked a meal so much that I threw it in the trash. The food is pricey for the quality you get.
I love good burgers. Jakes Hot Mess is what I ordered. The crispy onion straws were so drenched in hot sauce that they were soggy (not sure if it is supposed to be that way). The hot sauce overpowered any other flavors. I tried to just eat the meat, feeling guilty about wasting food. I just couldn't do it.
I really wanted to like this place. I do not usually hope for a restaurant to fail, but in this case, I look forward to seeing a better restaurant pop up in its place.
Edit: I just saw their web page. The photos of the food may or may not be actual food there. They show a photo of a kraut dog, and Nathan's hot dogs, but I saw no mention of either when I was there. At least show what you serve, not a...
