I will never be back after having the staff try and fleece me out of almost a $100 because they don't understand how pending debit card charges work, accusing me of not paying, despite having two separate transactions on my bank account from them swiping my card, and telling me I still needed to pay them $27 ON TOP OF the unnecessary $23 charge they charged my card and the $50.35 that was my bills total. They kept telling me they would void the $23 charge, but that the $50 charge didn't count because it was "pending." Which yes, most debit card charges will pend until after the til is ran at the end of the night. Escalated to the point where I said "call who you need to call" and I stepped outside, I never left I never intended to leave, but I wasn't making a scene in the restaurant because they don't know how their machines work. I had "Gale" chase us out demanding to run my card again AFTER they had already been paid and had only voided the $23 charge taking pictures of me and my vehicle while I waited for Walled Lake pd to show up and mediate so I wouldn't get hit with a bogus dine and dash charge. Eventually they ran my friends card, despite not refunding my $50 and her pending charge was fine???? Or was it only because the police showed up because I was sick of being harassed by...
Read moreI am Japanese native and can tell you Sushi Den is only a few authentic Japanese/sushi restaurants in Metro Detroit, which is owned and operated by a real Japanese chef. Most other Japanese restaurants in this area are not really Japanese; kind of Americanized Japanese food they serve. All items you get at Sushi Den taste exactly like those you get in Japan, seasoned/prepared/cooked in authentic manner. Reasonably priced as well. Only my wish is karaage, I like it bigger and crispier. Their karaage is a bit mushy and small pieces. I can even make better one at home. But their tempura is perfectly cooked. I cannot beat that. Needless to say, their sushi is superb. My recommendation is Sushi Den Bento box. Good value with many variety of food, which even comes with sashimi. I know inflation is crazy lately but I hope they won’t raise...
Read moreI used to really enjoy this place until I tried to use a coupon. They would not accept it because I was .25 cents short of a sushi purchase but, I had also purchased Goyza (which is obviously not sushi) so I was over the amount that would have been discounted. When I asked about using the coupon, they said no, because I didn't purchase enough sushi. I like to support local business and had gone to Sushi Den for many years (before they expanded into the neighboring suite) but, will not go back. I told them I will not be coming back and they smirked and said ok. Too bad. I also called my order in, they said 45 minutes, I said ok. I arrived 45 minutes later and waited an...
