I've had a broken Playstation 5 for almost a year. Through many hours and attempts of trying to fix it myself, I gave up and took it into a repair shop. I did not have high expectations for any place to fix it because the common theme from my research concluded that the Playstation was "totaled."

The issue I was having with my Playstation was that one day, the system just stopped working. It shut off while I was playing and would not turn on again. The only thing the Playstation would do was beep. No lights, no picture, no function besides the audible "beep." And I tried and re-tried everything to turn it back on over a a span of about a year and yet, nothing worked.

I brought it into LA Tech Repairs just for their free diagnostic test. It was a fast and simple process where I would receive my results within 24-48 hours. When I first got a call about the condition of the Playstation, it was not encouraging news (as I anticipated) given the technical problems I was having. However, they wanted to be thorough and asked for additionally time to work on the device. And about 2-3 days later, they were able to identify and solve the problem that my Playstation was having. It's been about two weeks since I've had my PS5 and it is still working as good as new.

Through the duration of this process the employees were very transparent and accessible with me. They gave me updates and feedback in both a timely and comprehensive fashion. I was very pleased with their customer service and overall job performance. They saved me a huge amount of money because my alternative was a whole new system.

Below, is a quote from one of the employees at LA Tech Repairs about the issue I was having. "Hey Garrett just following up with you. We replaced your power supply and a shorted circuit on your board. No specific chip more or less a capacitor but there's tons on the board that will cause different issues. Just identified which one an replaced it."

I am very appreciative of all their hard work and would absolutely recommend seeking this business for repairs. I can confidently say that I will be a returning customer should any of my other technical appliances...

I needed a hinge fixed on my HP laptop a few years back and I took it to Alex. Also note that I live a little over an hour away.

Turns out he only needed to snap the laptop back into place so he didnt need to use the hinge, cool no big. Anyway I got home and my laptop didn't turn on. The light didn't even turn on when I plugged in the battery. I called him and drove back. He apologized bc there was a flood and my laptop got water damage bc of spacing issues in his shop so it was left on the floor 😳.

He said he'd fix any issues he caused. It took a bit to get it back and he sounded frustrated when I would check up. Im a freelancer and my laptop is my main source of income. I also dropped by when he didnt give me an update but he didn't have time.

Finally I got my computer back. He didn't change the battery even though I thought he was bc you know water damage. It dies the moment its unplugged so I can't really take it on location. And I got it back with semi broken speakers. For some reason they only work with headphones. I didnt want to drive back AGAIN, annoy him, and wait or get my laptop back in worse condition.

I was extremely annoyed bc I used to see him all the time for not only for my family but for my friends broken devices.

He essentially ruined my laptop and I just took it bc I didnt want to deal with the drama.

I will say he's good with iPhones and PS4s. But will I ever recommend this shop, sadly no. Sighs.

When I accidentally tripped over and dropped my baby--err, I mean PS5 last night, my heart jumped into my stomach. I thought I was doomed. LA Tech Repairs came to my rescue and they delivered the service FAST! I called around to other game console repair shops in L.A. to get estimates of prices and not only was this place the least expensive, they were also the fastest. Other places quoted 1-3 business days turnaround. These guys? 1-2 HOURS, same day!!!! Now, I will say I was lucky because they happened to have the parts it needed in stock--that's not always the case. I thought my HDMI port was the only issue with my PS5 but when Alex called me two hours after drop-off he said that he noticed a micro-fracture on the video chip and that when they've fixed other HDMI ports and they still didn't work, the replacement of the video chip was always the answer 100% of the time. When I asked how much more $$$ it was going to cost, I got scared.... but he told me that since he had already gone into the system he would only charge me for the hardware. SO. NICE. He asked permission to go ahead and replace that chip too and then half hour later, my baby was like new! THANK YOU ALEX and LA TECH REPAIR! I will definitely drive 25 miles back and forth again should I ever need your services. And don't take this personally... I hope I don't need...
