LA|Just $11, and the Sea God is serving up his finest!

This spot has been on my bucket list for a while and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a non-assuming truck down a pretty busy part of La Cienaga. There was parking right along the curved street leading up to it but oncoming traffic is a little scary so be careful. I got two shrimp tacos and the Poseidon for $21.90. A pretty good price for all the seafood you get. The Poseidon is huge and a meal on its own. It comes with tons of octopus and doused in a sweet cocktail type of sauce which I didn’t really love, the sweetness over powered the seafood in my opinion. The shrimp tacos on the other hand, I could easily eat 10 of them. I’m not quite sure what’s in the filling, if it’s potatoes mixed with shrimp but it’s amazing. They’re perfectly fried and crispy but not at all greasy. It comes with a great shrimp cocktail type of soup that is not the sweet cocktail sauce the Poseidon is in. It also comes with a side of the spicy sauce which is definitely not for the weak. I’d probably just stick to these only next time. Those are enough to keep coming back.

This restaurant has a couple locations. We visited the food truck on the side of a busy road. Not the best atmosphere, but the food more than made up for it. They had about 20 things on the menu, but variations on the same 3-4 items. Some soft drinks available too. We had the regular, shrimp, taco and the triton. The triton is a spicy version of the shrimp, but with additional fish on top and some octopus chunks. Amazing food. Even if you are not usually a fan of shrimp the tacos will amaze you. Very cheap.

Don't be fooled by the street and the surrounding area. I was hesitant the first time but let me tell you those shrimp tacos are absolutely worth it. I think they chop up the shrimp, Mix it with other ingredients and then deep fry the entire taco. It is served with a really fresh salsa, some avocado and it's absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend getting at least two per person (shh I could eat four!)

The Ceviche is delicious as well however I had the mixed seafood one and it was extremely fishy. I did not enjoy it, but have since gotten the shrimp only ceviche and found i fresh and flavorful. A squeeze of lime and drizzle of the orange house made sauce and you're good to go.

I'm sure some of the other items are fantastic too, but I can't handle too much spice so I tend to stick with the shrimps ceviche tostada and the shrimp tacos. Grab a Mexican Coke while you're at it to really add to the experience.

The service is fast and easy and they accept Apple Pay which is a plus :)) Just park along the street but keep an eye on the parking restrictions. The ambience is simple. It's a classic LA food truck on the side of a busy road and there are litt plastic stools and a couple tables. It's fun it's...

A Must-Visit for Seafood Lovers!

We had an incredible experience at Mariscos Jalisco! We arrived a bit early and were happy to see that the Poseidón was already available — it was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to start our meal. As we were enjoying it, the owner surprised us with a plate of hot tacos on the house as they finished getting everything ready. What a gesture!

The tacos were absolutely phenomenal — crispy, rich, and packed with flavor. You can tell this place takes pride in both their food and their service. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home.

If you’re in the area, don’t miss this place. Delicious food, genuine hospitality, and unforgettable tacos. We’ll...
