During the showing of a film that I went to go see at this theater last night, the movie screen abruptly turned off while an artificially calm, automated female voice came over the speakers and told us that an emergency was happening inside the theater and we all needed to proceed calmly to the nearest exit. This message was delivered WAY too slowly, in fact, the word âemergencyâ was not said until after a dreadful pause and an unnecessary âLadies and gentlemen, we need to inform you thatâŚâ It felt like forever before we could even understand what was happening, and there was also no information whatsoever on what kind of emergency was taking place. In an emergency situation, those critical seconds of not effectively communicating danger can cost people their lives. That robotic notification did nothing but prolong my (and othersâ) reaction time in potentially life-threatening circumstances. Not to mention that after this message was finally conveyed, there was absolute silence in the theater. We heard no alarm being sounded, no activity from security or staff, nothing. My boyfriend and I ran for the nearest exit that led directly outside, and crossed the street to a nearby pizza shop, along with a couple of kids that were running near us. The kids shared with us that they had been at the theater seeing an R rated film unaccompanied by their parents, and neither child looked older than 13 years of age. Upon arriving at the theater, it had been easily apparent to us that NONE of the staff were checking ANY tickets at all on this crowded Sunday evening, for anyone entering. Not only were our tickets not checked when we first walked in, but even when my boyfriend reentered the building after retrieving a sweatshirt I had mistakenly left in his car, no one bothered to ask if he had a ticket. I did not see any presence of Regal security staff of any kind on or around the premises before, during, or after this incident. This was my first time at this Regal location, and reading other Google reviews informed me that they have recently undergone improvements or upgrades of some sort. Clearly, nowhere in the budget was there room for implementing better security (or rectifying a lack thereof) and they only focused on services that would increase their profit margin. Itâs especially heinous to me that no improvements in the area of security were seemingly made, given an article I discovered (after the fact) in the news from February 2023 about another incident that occurred at this theater. Earlier this year, police responded to the Regal Warrington Crossing due to a group of teenagers bringing a BB gun into the premises and firing bullets in an auditorium while a movie was being played. Apparently, they did not even evacuate the theater in that situation - God only knows what would have happened if it were a real gun or some other deadly weapon. In last night's case, I suspect that it was simply a fire alarm that was pulled, or perhaps a smoke detector that was set off, since from my vantage point at the pizza shop I only saw a firetruck at the scene. However, allowing unaccompanied minors into the theater to see R rated films, not checking tickets and bags, and not having an adequate emergency response that actually INFORMS people of the emergency at hand in a TIMELY manner is unacceptable, especially in 2023 where there have been more than 400 mass shootings in the US this year ALONE. Needless to say I intend to get a full refund, and I more importantly, I intend to get to the bottom of why this incident occurred. If it was simply someone who pulled the alarm, how come we didn't hear an actual alarm sounding? I will likely never go to this or any Regal theater again due to the complete and total lack of security measures and effective communication during an...

Prepare to have your breath taken away, for "Mission: Impossible -- Dead Reckoning Part One" has once again raised the bar for action-packed cinema, leaving me utterly speechless and thoroughly amazed. Tom Cruise's dedication to the franchise is palpable, and this latest installment solidifies its place as one of the greatest movie experiences of all time.
From the very first frame, the movie immerses you in a world of relentless action, intricate espionage, and heart-stopping stunts that redefine the limits of what's possible on the big screen. Director Christopher McQuarrie has crafted a masterpiece that seamlessly blends jaw-dropping set pieces with a gripping storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout.
Tom Cruise, once again donning the role of IMF agent Ethan Hunt, delivers a performance that is nothing short of outstanding. His commitment to performing his own stunts is well-known, and this film takes that commitment to unprecedented heights. The adrenaline-pumping sequences, from a high-altitude chase over a cityscape to a daring underwater escape, showcase Cruise's dedication and fearlessness, leaving the audience in awe.
The supporting cast is equally exceptional, with Rebecca Ferguson reprising her role as the enigmatic Ilsa Faust, and newcomers such as Cillian Murphy and Vanessa Kirby adding layers of intrigue to the complex narrative. The chemistry among the cast members is palpable, and their performances contribute to the film's emotional depth.
"Dead Reckoning Part One" isn't just about non-stop action, though. The screenplay masterfully weaves together espionage, betrayal, and personal stakes, creating a rich tapestry of intrigue that keeps you guessing until the very end. Twists and turns abound, as alliances shift and loyalties are tested, making for a rollercoaster ride that engages both the mind and the heart.
I had the privilege of experiencing this cinematic marvel at the Regal Warrington Crossing, and the larger-than-life visuals and immersive sound design elevated the film to another level. The expertly choreographed action sequences, combined with a pulse-pounding musical score, create an audiovisual spectacle that will resonate in my memory for years to come.
In conclusion, "Mission: Impossible -- Dead Reckoning Part One" is an outstanding achievement in filmmaking that cements its place in the pantheon of cinematic greatness. Tom Cruise's unwavering commitment, Christopher McQuarrie's visionary direction, and a cast firing on all cylinders have crafted a movie that sets a new benchmark for the action genre. If you're a fan of breathtaking stunts, intricate plots, and heart-racing excitement, this film is an absolute must-see. I left the theater speechless and convinced that I had just witnessed one of the best movies...
Read moreRegal Warrington Crossing is a retrofitted theater with stadium seating and a pseudo-IMAX; meaning the screen isnât all that big, but the projector is a step above the others and the audio is LOUD (Iâm fine with the audio, but kids donât seem to like it). You choose your seats when purchasing tickets, so suggest purchasing online ahead of time.
The auditoriums themselves are okay. None of the screens is all that large, but theyâre not art-house small. The seats are large with shared armrests. They do not recline. Thereâs not enough time between screenings for the floors to always get a proper sweeping, donât be surprised if you step in a soda puddle or some pop-corn. That said, theyâre not as bad as some other theaters.
The lobby is large and open, but feels old and worn out. Concessions are typical and unsurprisingly overpriced. Thereâs not much in the way of lobby entertainment, a smattering of old arcade machines and two claw machines by the entrance. It could really stand a refresh. The theater does not serve alcohol.
Located at the intersection of 611 and County Line Road, Regal Warrington is relatively easy to access. Itâs set back from both the 611 and County Line entrances, but easily visible once entering the development. The parking lot is large and open enough that getting out, even after a crowded Friday night, doesnât take long. Thereâs every conceivable fast food and fast casual restaurant either in the same development or across 611. That said, thereâs no good, unique restaurant to make for a romantic date night.
The only true downside to Regal Warrington is the same as at every other theater chain: the pre-show âentertainmentâ and the endless previews. Assume your movie will start 20 to 35 minutes after the stated show time (6:30 Rise of Skywalker started at 7:05). The late start is bad, but the endless advertisements and too many previews are too much. By the time your movie starts, youâve sat through dozens of stories and eye-bashes. This fact isnât factored into the review score, but felt the need to note it.
Overall, Regal Warrington Crossing is meh. Itâs not good, itâs not bad. Itâs there if you want to...
