We had our daughter's birthday party here and even though you book a 2 hour time slot, you do not get 2 hours. They tell you to arrive 30 min earlier to check in, which we did and literally stood around for 45 minutes (which was apparently part of our 2 hours). You cannot get into the party room so while the kids are jumping, you are stuck holding coats with no where for parents to sit. After an hour of jumping you are finally allowed in the party room. Our "hostess" appeared to want to be anywhere but there. There was zero interaction with the kids and my husband and I ended up doing all the serving. I had constantly ask for forks, cups and napkins and my husband had to go to the snack bar for straws. The kids were still eating since we had just served them 5 min ago and we were told we needed to do the cake. Again, my husband and I cut and served the cake while the hostess stood there. 5 min later I was asked to go up front to pay my balance and my husband was told we needed to be out of the room in 5 MINUTES! (we believed we had another 25 min) so while I went up front, my guests were forced out of the room and I never got to say thank you or goodbye. When I say forced, I'm not joking. The woman put our stuff on a cart and put it in the hallway! I went up to pay where I knew exactly what my balance should have been. I paid half at booking so I only needed to pay the other half. Instead, I was told the balance was $50 MORE than what it should have been. I questioned it and she told me that I added a child which was an extra $21. I questioned that since it only costs $16 for an hour of jumping. She told me it was for jumping and food. I had already ordered extra food at booking so why do I need to pay for more food when I already did? But whatever, it's a $5 difference. I asked where the other $20 was coming from and she told me their prices increased..... That's NOT my problem! Thankfully I had my confirmation email which clearly stated what my total was which was NOT what she trying to charge me. She did end up taking the extra $20 off and I paid half of my original total plus the $21. All together I paid almost $300 for a party that was worth $150. We were rushed from the moment we got in the party room. If you book a 2 hour slot, you should be given a 2 hour slot, not an hour and a half. You should have access to the party room for the length of the party since you are paying for it. 30 min is not enough time to serve and eat (we all know kids eat slow) . Forget opening presents, they had to come home to be opened. I feel sky zone is only concerned with money, not making your party enjoyable. The fact that they make you stand around for the first 30 min of your party is ridiculous. You should have an hour to jump with access to the party room so you have somewhere to put your stuff and parents have a place to sit and then an hour for pizza, cake and presents with a hostess who actually hosts. It does not take 30 min to check in, it only took 10 min and then the kids are standing there, unable to jump yet, unable to get into the party room with parents stuck holding everything! Perhaps they shouldn't book so many parties in one day so that they are able to give each party the attention they deserve and are paying for! My advice, if you want to bring your kids here for their birthday, pay for individual tickets, which is cheaper and then go to a pizzeria afterwards where you...
Read moreDrove almost a hour today to take our 10,7 and 4 year old here for the first time today. Our daughter has a bday coming up at the end of the month so we wanted to check it out before booking her bday party here. There was a lot for the kids to do, I paid $100 for myself and 3 kids to jump for 90 minutes which is definitely more than Get Air but hey they kids wanted to go so i was willing to pay. There is a sign on the 3 slides that says 5 and up. After having my 10 and 7 year old go down the slide multiple times and listening to my 4 year old cry because she wanted to go down too and join in on the fun i asked one of the male workers if she was too small to go down because i had seen numerous kids much smaller than her going down but wanted to double check. He said she’s fine to go down, we have that sign up more so for weight in so they don’t get stuck going down, that he would rather her go down by herself than with me because you could clearly see she isn’t a small child by all means and weighs as much as her 7 year old brother 45lbs. She went down numerous times with zero issues at all. I would wait at the top of the slide for her to come up the stairs and she would go down repeating the process numerous times that was until another worker a younger long dark hair male with a mustache stopped her and told her NOT nicely that she was not allowed to go up the stairs and blocked her from going up. I was uptop and couldn’t hear exactly what all he said but my oldest came up and told me my youngest had just gotten yelled at. So i immediately asked the worker what the problem was and that i had already cleared it with the other male before she ever went down that he needed to call him over to verify i wasn’t lying and there wasn’t any issues with her going down. He told me he didn’t have to do anything and what he said goes if i didn’t like it we could leave! We are leaving early after paying $100, with a crying child who will NOT be having her birthday party here nor we will ever be coming back or recommend coming back. For kids clubhouse to be so close as well as many get air parks and based on the 5 people that was there on a Sunday today i would highly recommend re-evaluating your policies and procedures and ensuring all of your staff is aware of them and how to approach and handle issues. Today was completely unacceptable and i know first hand from owning 3 salons of my own the your employees can make or break you and your employee today definitely made us never want to come back or recommend this place to anyone.
DO NOT RECOMMEND. Go to kids clubhouse or get air it’s cheaper and the employees are...
Read moreSky Zone Dayton is phenomenal. Wowza. You enter into the front entrance and have a buffer room between the outside and the lobby that is well air conditioned and immediately relieves you of any frigid cold or burning hot temperatures from the outdoors. Upon entering the lobby, you are consumed with the aroma of mouth watering pizza. You hear the children laughing and the people talking, having a great time. The scene reminds me of when the Dwarves eat a merry dinner at the house of Bilbo Baggins before they set out on their quest in the movie "The Hobbit". And, honestly, are those employees behind the front desk? Or angels from heaven? This customer service will penetrate your heart more deeply than the ending of Marley and Me. I tried to hold back tears, but was unsuccessful. It made for an awkward scene, as you can imagine! I slipped on the "Sky Socks" and they just fit like a glove! For feet! Foot gloves! Nothing like the OJ Simpson trial mind you. Then we proceeded up some of the most nicely furnished stairs to the jump floor. The rubber on the stairs had to have been an Italian fashion. There were overtones of Venician designs in the smooth rubber plating. Gorgeous staircase. My ears were then assaulted with the most riveting speech I've ever beheld. These employees, "Court Monitors" as they call them, must dedicate their lives to these "Rule Speeches". Each rule was a new gift to me, an expansion upon their infinite wisdom on how to be safe and have fun at the same time. I began to sob at this, the sheer beauty. I must say I looked a bit like Anne Hathaway when she is laying down in the church in the movie Lès Miserables! Then one of the noble employees asked if I needed a bag of ice, probably since I was crying. I politely declined, but was flabbergasted by the raw emotion and love that this young adult had expressed in response to my seeming pain. I then proceeded to jump. Breath taking. I was finally free. This is what I have been searching for. A "Sky Zone". God bless this establishment. I encourage all of you to try it. It will change you, lift you, and make you...
