Went to this place with my client (I work with ppl with disabilities), I misplaced my keys, right as the store was closing. I was speaking with one of the vendors there as an associate asked me to leave because they were closed. It was 7pm. In the rush, I was escorted to the front of the store to leave. It was then that I discovered that I couldnāt find my keys. I informed them of that and the āmanagerā, Iām guessing, told me that I had to leave anyway. I was explaining to her that they could only be in 2 areas because they were initially clamped to the cart. NO one there tried to assist me! I told them that I lived waaaay on the other side of town and I couldnāt leave (drive) without my car keys. THEY DID NOT CARE AT ALL. That made me feel like one of the associates had my keys. I wound up calling the cops to report a possible theft. As I was walking to the vendors booth who I was speaking to earlier, the manager told me that she had already checked her booth for me (at least the vendor was trying to help)ā¦but my gut was telling me differently. Since I was on the phone with the cops as I was walking to the vendors booth, I told them to disregard the call because I actually spotted my keys at her booth! I had no idea that the manager, had called the cops on me as well. Butā¦by the time they got there I was getting in the van with my client (that they made leave the store, a disabled man!!!), so I proceeded to continue home. The moral of this story isā¦.. The manager was RUDE & not compassionate AT ALL regarding a customerās safety & needs. Instead, she tried to turn it around to make herself look like the victim.
This was very upsetting to me. My mom & I have shopped at this store for years and to be treated like that was UNACCEPTABLE! They were closed yesā¦.officially, but there were at least 5 employees still there doing there cleaning & closing and couldāve helped me. They donāt have to worry about me returning. I guess thatās why the place looks empty now. Vendors are packing up and taking their business elsewhere. I will make it my mission to deter as many ppl as possible. They donāt deserve good customers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis used to be my favorite antique mall in Ohio. Unfortunately, more and more booths are being filled with Hobby Lobby clearance. I do not understand why antique malls, particularly malls with waiting lists for vendors, are allowing so much contemporary in booths. People looking for that style are better off going to TJ Maxx, Michaels, etc. We go to antique malls to find vintage and antique items. Crazy concept, apparently.
Don't get lured in by their sales because most of the good stuff is marked 'firm.' Why they allow this I don't understand. Make the drive to Springfield where the real antique malls do not allow vendors to mark items as firm and there's an automatic discount on items over $20. (Side note to vendors, if you need to mark any item firm, you have no idea what you're doing, especially if said item is only a couple of dollars. It's simple math to add 10% to the price you want for an item).
All of this just makes it not an enjoyable experience. It's unfortunate for the few vendors still...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreusually a decent experience but today was not a good one. i came in after going to a vintage store festival and had bought a sweatshirt from there prior to coming in. the sweatshirt also clearly looks worn on top of it, so it was obvious it was worn and not new. but as i was checking out i only had one thing i had picked out to buy and the sweatshirt in the cart. the shorter blonde lady that checked me out was rude and while she was checking me out she kept eyeing my cart with the sweatshirt in it and then eyeing me down. this had happened multiple times while she was checking me out. it after i finished and started pushing the cart away she turns to her coworker and starts talking about ME and how i took the shirt without paying while i could literally still hear her. 1. if you think im āstealingā (i was not) then say something and 2. please roll back that camera footage because i clearly walked in holding...
