CAVA — Restaurant in Washington

I order online from this CAVA location all the time because I work close by, and I finally am so irritated that I have to say something. I have literally never picked up an order from this location that is correct. There is ALWAYS something missing or wrong. Or both! I've gotten over it in the past because it's always so busy there and mistakes happen, but today was the last straw. I went to pick up a group order for myself and coworkers, and when I got back to the office I realized that all that was in my bowl was rice, greens, and 2 tiny pieces of falafel. All of my spreads and toppings were missing. And my side dressing was wrong. The best part of CAVA is the spreads and toppings, so not having them was so disappointing and my food was so bland because it had literally nothing on it. I will still give 2 stars because the few times I've ordered in the store my food has been fine, so if you are going to eat at this location DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. I had never been to a Cava before, but stopped there for lunch at Union Station last Saturday. The food was so fresh and amazing, but what made the experience even better was the employees. One young man in particular (I wish I had caught his name so I could shout him out to cooperate), went above and beyond to provide friendly, fast service. He made our bowls quickly without making us feel rushed and did a beautiful job putting them together while answering our questions and just bring pleasant overall. He was also bilingual and engaged with us in both English and Spanish which we appreciated since we're bilingual as well. I'm glad he works at Union Station because I imagine he encounters many visitors to DC and he is a great embassador. Keep up the great work, and if the owner of this Cava can identify the employee by the details I've given, I hope you value this employee and give him all the opportunities...

I love the location, it’s so convenient for people on the go. I had a flight to catch the day I got this so stopped by on the way back to my hotel. First time trying CAVA and the Mediterranean spin on a rice bowl is wonderful. I think the options provided are vegetarian friendly and compliments each other well. I had a good time just customizing my bowl. Initially I wanted to get the Harissa Acodcado bowl but decided to try my hand at customizing. The red hummus is a STAR. Pickles are tasty too. Rice is well cooked. I got the blueberry lavender tea and it was on the watery side. Food tastes fresh even after saving it for a couple hours. The salad selection is proper good.
