Sooo this is my exact one week check in. They shouldn’t have you pay over a certain amount then stick you with a rookie then be mad when they don’t put enough coats on the nail. My 3rd nail (first two were day 2-3) has polish that is also been coming off in addition to the two I had fixed that started a few days ago but I’ll leave this here before I paint some top coat gel over them when Amazon delivers it tomorrow (so no more come off) sadly you might ask why not go get it fixed… well I’m afraid to go in there they have some weird energy. Below is my post from Monday on what they did to me.
They intentionally tried to embarrass me at this nail salon earlier I had to get my nails fixed from Friday, (which I actually had told the nail tech in the cash note the same day because I got out when they closed late at night after 8 and then too I was leaving town the next day so basically just saying I wanted a different design on cash app when I I sent her a tip because once I got out of there after 2 hours I noticed she didn't put something on there that was in the images and the nails were v repetitive) but I was actually going to leave it be until I noticed While I was in Philly that one of the nails actually started coming off and then it did it on two... so on Monday, I called and said that I will be coming the next day 5:30-6 I spent over an hour there 5:30-7... The lady that did my nails at the end took 15 minutes. The whole time spent was there was one lady going back-and-forth with me once they sat me down tried to throw money in it and say we can fix it but you have to pay for design change so I said okay that's fine how much??? Then Imaoooo she started saying come tomorrow when they just told me to sit down to get them fixed then changed her mind when I said I wanted the design from my picture. I was like "oooh vou iust don't wanna do it huh? I'll get the same thing as last time" even tho what I want is less work (mind you I didn't even ask for the gold chrome design that they would have to take off... just a simple white skinny snake...) these are literally my bare nails. I paid 120 and I still tipped. This just a video l'm putting here cause I was provoked to act "ghetto" but l'm honestly proud of myself for not giving them what they wanted ? * at one point the lady like threw the nail sample board in front of me and was like "what color did she use then!" (When I was sitting at the table watching one of the rookies waste 20 mins spraying yellow over and over again trying to match it and I said "they probably didn't tell you but it's two colors airbrushed to make it it's not just one, I don't want you to waste your time" bruhhh ain't that yall friend? you work with the woman can't you text her? And I never told her a color to begin with which they knew, she looked at the pictures and matched it... yall got the nails in person...
P.s. I forgot to add that while I was sitting on my phone with my bestie there a man that was staring at me from the back room on a phone like he was waiting for me to do something crazy so they could kick me out or call the police. He was not there before the woman cut off everything...
Read moreAfter my last two visits.I was truly upset. They set an appt for Jen for a Thursday. I called the location to ask them to contact Jen to inform her I wasn't able to make the appointment. I called from the hospital only to be told call back later Jen be here later. I'm not calling back I'm in a ER. Why can't you guys inform her of the situation. The lady just hung up in my ear. I was admitted. I didn't call back or went back. Second- I called the location asked if I could get certain services done before I came to location. They said" YES" come. I arrived Linda asked me what services I wanted said it again as before. She kindly sat me down told me they will be with me shortly. I sat for 25mins before the tech came over and ask me what service I wanted. I showed her. She said " Ok" went back to do her client. She comes back 20 mins later says Hum, we can't do design for you! No one here to do design. I looked around and their was tech there that done designs on my nails before. Now, they say noone has time busy. Well, that should had been discussed when I called and when I walked in. Instead of having me to wait. So, I said "ok". Forget the design I come back for that still need my nails done. She walks off makes appointment with Jen says Ok walks off again. I still need my nails done. I'm just going to come back to Jen for design. She says," you wait," rudely. I'm waiting next thing you know the guy comes in works on the lady hands beside me but when he gets to me he asked" how you doing?" . I responded I'm not good. His response was the maybe you should go home. If you not satisfied with service go else where. I tried to explain to him what happened he still didn't want to listen still was being rude and smartmouthed. Walked off and said someone else do your nails.
I love Mye she is so sweet has always done a great job. Jen is a great tech and very much so good mother I would had not shown up for her. I would like to return but I can't deal with bad customer service and possibly being mistreated especially when I'm paying...
Read moreSoledad (Sole) did a fantastic job on my dip nails. She was meticulous and provided excellent service. You can count on her doing the best job possible instead of going fast/ being sloppy to get through as many customers as possible. She also does a great job with pedicures.
Shoutout also to Jeanette, Cherry, and Lena, all great as well :)
Five stars go to them.
Unfortunately I have to deduct 2 stars following my first negative experience at MYE in over a year, under Jenny’s care.
I asked for a dip manicure; she worked fast but cut me with the drill; the edges were crusty, several nails had bubbles, and she refused to apply the gel topcoat that I always get on dip manis at that same establishment. Instead she insisted on applying one coat of some other topcoat that doesn’t require curing. She argued that it was much better than the typical gel topcoat, but it was clear she just wanted to finish quickly. If it really is a better and faster alternative to the gel topcoat why would other techs bother with the gel topcoat? When I politely raised this, the owner stepped in and sided with her, saying that each tech does things differently. By the tone of both of their voices, it was clear they expected me to drop it and run with her sloppy approach. The shine - my favorite part of a manicure - was nowhere close to that of the usual gel topcoat.
I came back the next day for a fix up, but instead of redoing it, they simply shaved off a coat and applied a coat of gel color. The coat peeled off a few days later, requiring me to return for a new set soon after.
It’s understandable for management to expect a certain pace of service and who doesn’t love a fast manicure? But the hurried and dismissive attitude of both Jenny and the owner left a bad taste.
Luckily they have other great techs who will take care of you and give you a great experience, as has been the case during my tenure as client. Hopefully good service is being rewarded instead of prioritizing turnover at the expense...
