Neat park located in the middle of the East bound and West bound roadways of E St., West of the White House grounds. Would be great for a picnic, but there not much here, and the proximity of the homeless camp make it less appealing as the encampment grows. Closed 9PM to 8AM.

The magnolia blooms are back! So beautiful. I recommend coming before 11 am to beat the crowds on a weekday and before 9 on the weekend. Take public transportation because parking is almost non-existent.

Rawlins Park is a small park to the west of the White House and easy to miss. There's a statue of Rawlins himself looking toward the pool of water in the park. Along the edge of the park are benches to relax on or enjoy your lunch when the sun is out.

This small, unknown park becomes famous every year during the cherry blossom festival. Bright pink blossoms emerge and on a sunny day, it's one of the best photo opportunities of DC in the spring. Icing on the cake is there's no crowds unlike the Tidal Basin during the...
