The United Church — Attraction in Washington

The United Church is utterly unique, it is a blend of The United Methodist Church and the United Church of Christ, and has services in German twice a month. English language services are every Sunday at 11 AM and German language services on the first and third Sundays of the month at 9:30 AM. At 12:10 PM on Wednesdays there is a mid-week meditation.

The church has the best acoustics of any church I have ever attended, which sets off the pipe organ perfectly. There is a strong music program and members can look forward to hearing Bach, Handel, Schubert, et al.

The Church is a Reconciling Methodist Church and an Open and Affirming UCC church, which means that gays, lesbians, transexuals, and bisexuals are welcome.
