It appears this review has garnered a lot of attention, so I will provide a brief explanation. Lafayette Park restrooms were closed, and my eight-year-old really needed to pee. There were two men standing at the open front doors of St. John’s, so I approached and explained the situation. Without exaggeration my wife and I were told to walk down the street until we found somewhere else. They then turned away and closed the door in our faces like we were unkempt vagrants – so much for WWJD!
The indifference the door attendants at St. John’s showed toward an eight-year-old who was almost in tears was quite frankly unbelievable, especially considering the seemingly minimal burden of stepping aside to accommodate a child in a public House of God (nothing was happening in the lobby behind them). There is a well-known saying that ‘actions speak louder than words’, but in this case both the actions and the words ended up causing disappointment.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: Terrible non-Christians manning the door. Avoid this church at all costs. There are many churches in the DC area, and this one is an absolute joke. Would not let my children anywhere near the two gentlemen working...
Read moreI don't know how the bishop can be so judgemental towards trump. Does she live with him. We are not in control of others behavior (gas) on protesters. GOD teaches us that. Don't judge all because a few done something...

I visited the young adult group and their deacon, Eric was very engaging. He also is so nice and compelled people to bring families in, but in an inclusive way. I’m not a church person, but I think I found my spot. It made...
