I came June 1st they closed before the 5pm closing time and told us all to leave. Came back the next day and the life jackets for the children were terrible all worn and torn up the jackets they did have were way over sized and would hide my daughters entire face which is unsafe let alone uncomfortable what I did appreciate was the nice life guard that saw and said she would ask her supervisors to order more. She told me to enjoy my swim very cool and chill. This other lady about 20-25 mins into me getting into the pool comes over and says I have to remove my cover up I’m 5 months pregnant and don’t feel comfortable with exposing my body and I should be able to wear what I choose I’m grown and you have more concerning issues which I have mentioned above than to be concerned with what a grown woman is wearing!! The other life guard said nothing so why are you harassing me !! I can’t stand people like her how you see my child and myself off in a corner of the pool because the kids are splashing hard and you say nothing but make it your business to confront me she needs to be worried about her job and doing a better job at it than my attire . It gave she was being funny and just wanted to say something because the other nice life guard didn’t even say nothing about it but here come this chick...

Very nice welcome from the staff at the front desk. Older lifeguard tall slender & louder gentlemen approached us in a superbly rude demeanor. He stated my Mon could not sit on the edge of the baby pool. He then went on to say because she didn't have on N actual swim suit she couldn't be in the pool area. All of what he was saying was completely correct, however his demeanor was so rude. He made such a scene that majority of the folks in the area stopped and looked. This was quite an embarrassing experience. We expressed our situation to the director on staff. She apologized but honestly we left shortly after. She noted this was not the first complaint about this gentlemen lifeguard!

My daughter was trying to get some additional practice in for an upcoming swim meet. We knew the one right near us (Rumsey Eastern Market) was closed. We thought Deanwood was open based on schedule on Google Maps and their recording, but no go there. I’ve since suggested an edit to the Deanwood entry. Thanks for being open Takoma Aquatic Center. They even had a water polo practice same time which was...
