Oak Hill Cemetery is a historic cemetery on a hill along Rock Creek Park in Georgetown in NW DC. The cemetery itself is stunning. On roving green hills, the scenery with the gravestones is stunning. Many of the gravestones are monuments and striking.
There are a few larger burial areas on the premise as well as benches to sit and enjoy the scenery. There's a little garden as well as benches under a stone bridge. There's also a beautiful chapel designed by renowned James Renwick.
There are more strict rules at the cemetery. You can't take professional photos nor bring in pets, bikes, etc.

A notable grave is that of William Thos. Carroll. Lincoln’s 11y/o son, Willie, was temporarily laid there after he died in 1862. The president reportedly visited and even took the boy out of his casket there to mourn.
