I am here to write the worst review ever, I hate to do it because I am not a salty person but by all means, I am doing this to warn other people who plan on booking a flight to this establishment in hopes to get their passports sooner. I live in Miami where the Haitian Embassy sucks there as well. I thought they were the worst but they are the same compared to DC. so I flew to DC in beginning of July this year. Paid $225. They told me I would get it in five days. I was so excited and full of hope that I would receive it and ready to write the best review ever. To ensure anybody that is willing to go to DC that they can do so confidently because it would be a success. But it never arrived, it is impossible to reach them… no way to email them they never pick up the phone. Three months later, I finally book a flight back to DC and trust me I was coming to raise hell if my problem couldn’t be resolved it seems these people don’t respect people being civilized, rather you make some noise and shake up the place. When I arrive to DC I had basically two hours and 30 minutes to make it back to the airport to fly back home so I was hoping my passport was there. when I get there is jam packed. There’s also other people they’re complaining that it’s been 3 to 4 months almost 6 months to a year and they still didn’t receive their passport yet. One person is telling me the passport not there and another person is Telling me the password is there so now they’re arguing.. I told one person that my flight is leaving in an hour and a half she told me book another flight, I couldn’t believe the disrespect. This is an adult woman. Finally the one nice lady that told me my passport was their she told me she will make it her duty to mail it out in the next five day. Thank God for her. She mailed it out the same day. I got it the next morning. These Haitian leaders are a disappointment And a bad representation of Haitians. The Haitian people that are in position that are supposed to take care of other Haitians that we look to for hope are an embarrassment, disappointment, and should be ashamed of their self. When other races talk bad about Haitian’s I used to be so offended and ready to defend but I get it now.. why we got a bad rep, because of these people running these establishments. Anybody who’s trying to get their passport renewed only thing I can tell you is good luck, if you do go through DC to do it, just add a lot of pressure to them to make sure you...
Read moreThe embassy is absolutely beautiful but the website is misleading. The website stays that services begin at 9:30 AM. I got there from New York at 8:45 AM because I was told they tend to have a large line. I got in there at 9:20 because I saw people starting to go in at 9:20 they were already servicing 10 people they do not. I repeat they do not give you your passport the same day any more according to the lady who was servicing me she told me they stop doing same-day service. She told me the passport , the machine that they possess that take care of the passport is currently broken and have been broken for the past two weeks. If you’re traveling all the way to the embassy, make sure all your documents are in order make sure you have two passport pictures. Make sure you have credit card or debit card with funds in it. Make sure you have your Haitian birth certificate. And make sure you come with your old or expired passport. If you never had a passport or your passport was stolen you’re going to go through a lot of problems to get a new passport from the embassy because I was watching a situation at the embassy yesterday, with a gentleman from Boston. They do not like to answer the phones. In fact, all the phones are on silent ring. With all these complaints, I see on Google review no wonder they do not allow you to take pictures inside of the embassy they do not want the employees of the embassy to be exposed
