⭐ 1 Star – Horrible Experience, Still Dealing with the Aftermath 4 Months Later

I wouldn’t even waste my time writing a review or giving them a rating at all but it’s the WORST place ever.

This was honestly the WORST salon experience I’ve ever had. I went in for a simple waxing and eyebrow threading appointment. That’s it. But as soon as I sat down, the ladies started aggressively pushing offers on me – one of which was a keratin treatment. I only asked how much it costs, and before I could even process what was happening, they started applying the keratin treatment to my hair.

I repeatedly said I was in a rush and didn’t want to do it that day. I said NO several times. But they kept pushing me down in the chair, insisting it would be “quick” and ignoring my boundaries. I felt trapped and disrespected. It was beyond unprofessional – it felt forceful.

As I was trying to leave, late and flustered, they rushed another girl to do my waxing and eyebrows, like it was all some kind of assembly line. No care, no respect for consent, and no customer service.

Now, 4 months later, I’m suffering the long-term damage. My hair has been falling out so much ever since that keratin treatment. I’ve developed visible balding areas and feel extremely insecure about my hair. This was never a problem before.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. They don’t listen, they don’t care about the customer, and they definitely don’t value consent or communication. Save your time, your hair, and your peace of mind –...

DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON FOR ANY HAIR SERVICES! Overall, they misinterpreted what I wanted, damaged my hair, and coerced me into services that I tried to decline multiple times, using the language barrier to their advantage.

I went in requesting to do a hair oil treatment and haircut, but after they told me they would not be able to put all the oil in because they needed to a haircut afterwards. I tried to decline the haircut and requested a full oil treatment. Not only did they not do a full oil treatment, but when I told them again that I did not want the haircut or blow dry services, they continued to harass me, citing that I said I wanted it earlier. Additionally, they provide no alternative to drying hair other than a blow out, charging $35 for a very bad blow dry where they overapplied heat and singed my hair. I have type 2B hair and tried to tell them to dry my natural waves with a diffuser but they did not understand/do not have the ability to. At the end of it all, it cost over $100 for a service that was horribly done.

Some other smaller details that made the experience worse: They would drop hair styling tools on the ground and then resume using them without sanitization They pushed my head around with force when trying to blowdry my hair They did not use any hair products besides shampooing my hair (no conditioner, styling products, leave-in-moisturizer) I have piercings and after I winced when she knocked into my ear violently, she did not try to avoid...

The lady who threaded my eyebrows for 15 years moved too far away for me to travel to her anymore. I have been struggling for months to find the right person that was not far away. I found Roma via Groupon and saw great reviews about Sana. I bought the Groupon and did not regret it. My eyebrows are perfect and she is close to my house. Also, the shop is very clean and the ladies are really nice. I could also do some shopping since it's in a strip where there are stores that I frequent. I will return. Happy that I found this place :-)

UPDATE: only ask for Sana. She was not there today and I told the only girl there that I didn't want them thin, just a cleanup. I knew she was taking off way too much because it took her too long to "clean up". My eyebrows are super thin and I hate them. Now I will have to wait for a month for them to grow back. Thanks a lot!

This place sucks now. So many turnovers in management and employees and the ones who are left don't know how to thread brows. I came here two weeks ago and some woman made my left eye brow crooked and I've been having to pencil it in to make it look even. So now that the last one I liked is gone, this place is done for me and I'll have to find...
