Planet Fitness — Attraction in Waterloo

Today when I came to workout, there was a female cleaning men’s bathroom sign. So I was respectful said good morning to her and put my gym bag away since it’s not aloud at the workout area. A guy staff member then came in the locker room and said “ Heyy do you not know how to read the sign by the bathroom can it not be any more clear.” He said I wasn’t aloud in the locker room when that sign is there. Which it doesn’t say on the sign. I went on with my workout which lasted about an hour and the sign was still there! I felt more like a perv having to wait outside the locker room right behind the treadmills where all the girls were running. I waited there for about 10 minutes watching 6 guys go in and leave the locker room. None of them were treated bad by saying do you not know how to read. There is a sign outside the door. I don’t know what I was supposed to do in this situation get yelled at by staff for putting my bag away since it’s not aloud in the workout area, or wait behind everyone on the treadmills and have the other members feel uncomfortable because they won’t allow me in the locker room. If I followed what the staff said I would not have been able to workout at all today because the sign never left the spot it was at for the whole hour I was there. I travel around for my job and I end up seeing a lot of planet fitnesses. They are my go-to for some healthy exercise and clean shower after driving all day. I've been spoiled by some very well kept and modern builr clubs so my standards are high.this club got three stars instead of two because the associates at the counter where quite friendly and welcoming when I walked in. It's also a nice large size club. It seems to have all variations of the equipment that you see at these clubs.But on close inspection on today's visit this club is not very clean. I'm debating whether I actually want to take a shower here or not. The sink area is the worst I've ever seen in any club I can see why the hours aren't 24 hours might have a rough crowd that uses it.I don't want to go so far as to say that this club may be the embarrassment to the chain as far as the dozen or so clubs I've been to so far. What is definitely the least clean I've seen. So sorry...

Worst customer service I have ever received in my life. I was looking to cancel my membership, and called March 25th to do so. Apparently, you have to physically go into the location to do this. I was available April 3rd to do this, and to my surprise a $41 annual fee was charged two days prior. Why I was made unaware of this when I called? I have no clue. To make things worse, the manager will not refund the $41 that was charged to my account. I explained “if I knew about the fee, I obviously would have come in earlier, right?” She shook her head and said “well I don’t know.” OBVIOUSLY I $41 DOES NOT JUSTIFY 2 DAYS FOR A GYM MEMBERSHIP.
