The Picky Picky Resale Shop — Attraction in Waukesha

Nice old style shop in downtown Waukesha. Reasonable and good owner solid to chat with about stuff. I guess fortunately I've never gone down there and seen they're closed when they should be open, so hopefully thats an rare/uncommon occurance?

Sometimes people (especially the "thrifters" whining in the reviews who only want to flip stuff instead of enjoying them) pick through certian types of items (especially sports related, games, vintage/nostalgia/memorabilia etc) but its worth stopping in to browse and see what they have.

I've gotten a few things I was debating caving and buying online for myself that thrifters want to overcharge for by stopping in when I'm downtown and found. Which was great.

So if you're in the area and want to kill some time its definitely worth checking out like I have. Making a day trip just so you can flip stuff online? Get out of bed...

Do not recommend. The owner does not respond to email, calls nor anything else. I saw a few items in the window that I was interested in, but the store was not open when it was scheduled to be. I called three times but there was no answer, so I sent them an email asking about the items and informing them of my interest. They simply did not respond to the email. Additionally, I stopped in at the store another two times during supposed "open hours", yet it was again not open. I finally found the store open on the fourth visit, but they had sold the items that I inquired about and simply shrugged their shoulders. Very poor customer service, and they just don't seem to care. I frequent many antique shops / malls in the area but will not be returning...

I've known the owner Henry for a long time and his store is THE COOLEST thrift store of its kind on The Planet Earth!!! If you are looking for anything that pertains to video gaming or accessories, Picky Picky has it or else he can get it, believe me. His collectibles he has for sale are extensive and every time I visit the store he has something different from the past when I was a kid. Henry is one of the smartest guys I have ever known and his knowledge of his items is impeccable. Lastly, Pickys' prices are unbelievable, at times I've had to ask Henry if the price is printed correctly.
