Haywood Arts Regional Theater (HART) — Attraction in Waynesville

Having seen numerous shows here and acted in four of them, this place feels like home. The quality of talent will always impress, despite the theatre being labeled "community." Most of the time the shows are performed on par or better than professional productions. The new Harmon's Den Bistro serves delicious food. Definitely see a studio show in the off-season for something unique and different with a small audience. Get your tickets early, shows sell out. This place is well run and always friendly. I have attended over 100 community theater productions across the South, and unfortunately, the Lizzie production was the most disappointing experience I’ve had. We attended while on vacation, excited to support local theater, but were taken aback by the excessive vulgarity and the strong push of social and political themes.

The theater is beautiful and amazing. The team of actors are incredible. It's a hidden Gem. I highly recommend you go at least once for yourself.

FYI: I'm only 5'1", so I was a little worried about the ability to see the stage, however, the seats do slightly sit higher than the ones in front of you like an old theater.
