Affairs of the Heart — Local services in Waynesville

Thank you so much to Affairs of the Heart !! He's finally home with us! A month or so ago I asked if they had any left. There was one in the window but we were not sure how much it cost. So we headed out without it. We had to wait a while until we had just the right paycheck. Today I went in and I didn't see any. I went to the register and asked if they had anymore. The lady at the register hesitated. Then another wonderful employee, the one I had talked to last time, told her I was the one. They had been holding the one in the window for us! I know it's silly but excuse me while I tear up a little. This little alien our daughter has loved since the first time she saw him in October is finally home!

Thank you so much to the Affairs of the Heart employees for making this mama and her girl's day. You'll never know how much we needed this win today! We will...

I love this place... However on their website it says their hours are 9:30-5:30 Mon-Sat. I got off work early on Thursday specifically so I could make it there by 5 and have 30 min to look for stocking stuffers and my secret santa gift. When I arrived a lady was pulling in their items that they display outside and when I said, "you're still open right" I was met with, "no we are closed!" When I inquired about why it states online that the hours are till 5:30 I was then told, as she pointed to the door where their hours are listed with a blank for closing time, we don't have a closing time, we never have see! Cute products, but we cannot support a local shop who’s workers are extremely rude. We were making our final selections and had several items to purchase. We wanted to make one final pass through the store because they were closing. The lady behind the counter was very short and snappy and with a very bad attitude told us, “No, I have things to do and need to get to the grocery store, we are closing, we have our limits.”

I understand people have their days but their is no excuse for such poor customer service. We really hope the lady we interacted with was not the owner.
