Sun Sohovich Art Gallery & Studio — Attraction in Waynesville

These photos of Jasmin's painting, (16x20) are beautiful but do not show the actual beauty of the portrait. I can not get over how Sun truly captured Jasmin's sweet disposition in her face and the hummingbird just brings the entire portrait together. Sometimes small details make all the difference. I love the impact of the full brush strokes to really get that gorgeous show coat of Jamin's captured. Just twenty minutes a day of brushing then combing brings out the elegance of a Shih Tzu with a long coat, which Sun so appropriately showed her talents and filled the canvas with showing that.

Sun has a powerful artistic talent and she never slacked in communication or posting updates to me of her work. Sun was prompt in starting this project and finishing. It is even more amazing that this is all done "free hand" and not digitally like so many others do, and the paints are thick and vibrant.

My frame should arrive tomorrow to get this wonderful work of art properly shown. It is a larger painting which I truly believe adds so much more depth to a painting than the smaller ones and justifies the price. If you are going to "immortalize" a subject then go larger and you wont regret the choice. It fills the room where you will display the finished art work, and a portrait light added to the frame just makes it "pop", (which I will get the portrait light soon).

Sun is an amazing artist! I wanted to give my son and daughter-in-law a unique gift as a Christmas present. I emailed Sun a favorite photo I had taken on my camera phone of my 2 year old granddaughter kissing her 4 month old brother on his head. Sun was up for the challenge! She kept me updated on the progression of her rendering by emailing me routine images of her progress. I enjoyed seeing the development of her work in the various stages. The finished product was so "life like". The details in the portrait were so amazing that there was absolutely no question that she had captured the faces of my two grandkids. Sun created a portrait of our yellow lab, Rory. It was a Christmas present for my wife, and the picture was fabulous! In addition to a being a beautiful picture, she was able to catch her "essence" - her personality. Sun is truly a gifted artist. My wife was thrilled with the portrait and has already found a place of honor to hang it. I can't fully express my appreciation of her talent, as well as working with her during it's creation; she's genuinely concerned about making sure it's what I wanted, which she did!
