Not a bad store by any stretch, their variety is serviceable and it is fun to look around. What isn’t great is their approach to pricing, it strikes my as a bit frustrating. The best version of a vintage game shop is the type of place you can make discoveries on games and the pricing isn’t a matter of trying to squeeze the maximum amount of money you can get on a transaction. Look at the pricing of the available titles, nearly everything is regardless of popularity is arbitrarily as high as it can go. For instance, the 1 - Beyond the Beyond for the PSX- heard of it? No. Is it good? No not really. I’ve had a copy I bought for 2 dollars out of a bin and can reliably say it’s one of the worst ps1 games I ever played. You can purchase for around 65.00 at Game Haven, 60 dollars more than anyone should probably pay for it. Anticipate the majority of the products to largely be around 2-5% more than what you would pay online. I would recommend this store if you are prepared to spend a little bit more than online and you know exactly what you want. Also I do take umbrage with the way they handle Pokémon tcg goods, they justify not selling boosters because they got burned by a vendor who was resealing packs or something along those lines, instead you can only buy “mystery packs” sorted by the staff, unsurprisingly these packs are very very bad because they pull anything of value or use to sell individually, apparently they are now aware of this and gave started selling premium “mystery packs” which I can personally say are not worth it over a regular booster pack. In conclusion the business is an effort of min/maxing everything they sell, chances are you can get what they are selling for cheaper via another store or online retailer, if you need something retro or niche with a degree of immediacy this is the place, otherwise I would recommend looking elsewhere. This is one of those businesses where it’s engaging to look around but you wonder how it’s still...
Read moreI usually have no issues here. But I had my ps4 worked on during the massive console crash problem. They had my system for months working on it "trying to fix it" they told me it was ready I picked it up still wasn't working. Took it back they apologized and then told me it was the hard drive I payed for a 1tb drive like the one it already had. About 3 weeks go by I call to see when it will be completed since I was told it was priority one. They tell me it's ready come by in a few hrs. I come by Noone can seem to find my console they apologized yet again it must be at the repair shop still. 3 more weeks go by they finally tell me they have it its at the store. I go pick it up they tell me they were able to save my original 1TB hard-drive. I get home its working and is all good well about 2 and a half months later I start to install some more games and it says memory full I know that can't be there's only 3 games installed look up storage it only has 400gb of storage not 1tb. I call games have and basically get told to bad. So I'm not even sure if this is my system since you know it was "miss placed" I believe either they stole my 1tb so he could sell his systems for more or he just swapped my system entirely. And I'm a regular frequent customer. I've spent thousands there and I will spend no more there ever again. I advise don't buy anything there either most stuff there now is just...
Read moreDon't go there! I would give 0 stars if possible. I bought a used Mario Wii game for my granddaughter and told I had 30 days to return it. It didn't work so I took it back and the guy buffed it and sent me on my way. Said I actually had 90 days to return it. Still didn't work so went back again. They only had one other disc and guess what! It didn't work either. Then I was told I could only get store credit on used items. No one bothered to add that little bit of info when I purchased it. They then pointed to a sign. Really? We all read their little signs? I didn't want anything else since my granddaughter only wanted the Mario. They supposedly put me on a waiting list with store credit. I asked for my paper showing I had store credit and he said it was sent by text. I checked and NOPE no text so I asked for print out. Got a piece of paper that doesn't even mention store credit. I think that is $50 I'll never see again. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. A bunch of crooks! They buy trash without even checking it and sell the trash to customers for an outrageous price who are unable to return for your money. You have to trade...
