Perkins Cove Candies — Attraction in Wells

The owner Erin contacted me and couldn’t have been more gracious and apologetic. We made the return trip back today and were absolutely thrilled with the service, and even more importantly the chocolate! The chocolates are homemade and absolutely delicious. We love the sea salt caramels which are sweet, but have the perfect saltiness from the dusting of the sprinkled sea salt. The peanut turtles are scrumptious. We can’t wait to try the mint chocolate patties which we purchased as well. My kids also love that they offer smaller candies such as tootsie rolls, tootsie roll pops, etc for 20 cents. We stopped here before we left for home. We're so happy we did. The variety is pretty remarkable. From turtles to taffy to lobster gummies and everything in between they have something for everyone. I loved that they had an entire sugar free section!

Nice variety of both standard and speciality candies. They have many types of candies and chocolates made of sea salt.

No sampling is allowed, which makes sense, but i would have still liked to taste what I was going to pay for. After purchase and tasting at home, I can say the sea salt taffy is one of the better I have had.

I was there when a huge amount of people showed up at the same time. Kinda took the magic away.
