5 nights ago I sat in a theater in Ogden, UT with incredible, reclining seating. There were over 20 speakers in the theater dedicated to create Dolby Atmos surround sound.
That night, I paid just over $12 (one of the highest I've paid) to enjoy an incredible movie in literally the best theater I've been to in my life.
Tonight, however... I came to Liberty Cinema.
I walked in and whiffed "old".
I sat in a ramrod straight, upright position. My elbows rested on non-cushioned arm rests.
There were 1/3 as many speakers.
But that's not the worst part. What literally blows my mind is that there isn't a single seat in the theater that was perpendicular to the screen.
Not one.
I had to rotate my neck and torso to the right for the entire movie to even attempt to watch the screen as intended, with a straight on view.
The final insult is that I paid more for this terrible experience than I did less than a week ago in Ogden because of the Wenatchee movie monopoly.
I will not see a movie in this theater again, and I'm genuinely debating on whether or not I'll see ANY movie while we are here for our last 3 months.
FYI - you earned 2 stars (instead of one) because, unlike your other Wenatchee theater, a staff member at Liberty Cinema was actually extremely nice and represented how amazing the rest of Wenatchee and its people...
Read moreI went for a double christmas movie feature. The movies available are generally not your blockbusters, but a pretty good selction. Ticket prices for a matinee are the cheapest in town. I'm didn't try the concessions, but they seemed to have a good selection with an assortment of popcorn toppings. I went to both sides of the theater. On the side behind the ticket counter it seems like upon a remodel that the theater was cut in half to make two smaller viewing rooms. The screen size was one of the smallest I would even consider theater size. The acoustics were decent, no reverb. Seats on this side were a tight fit and I'm small - 112lbs... also the armrests do not move. The side down the street a bit from the ticket counter is a bit better. Larger screen size, better seats and spacing. Bonus- both theater sides have pretty decent pinball machines. All in all, I will probably be back as the other cinema in town sometimes doesnt show everything I want to see and this...
