One of the highlights was the dining options. The market boasts an eclectic mix of eateries, from cozy cafes to upscale restaurants. We savored a mouthwatering farm-to-table meal that was a testament to the region’s culinary excellence.

Read moreFirst time at the market & I will be returning. My friend & I are I Wenatchee for medical treatment & we really enjoyed the market. First up was delicious tastings at D'Olivo suggested by a very knowledgeable young man= so many yummy combos, I haven't decided what to buy! Do stop in- they have something you'll like. My favorite involved toasted sesame oil. Next up- a Mead flight chosen by my friend. The server was very knowledgeable & explained the four pours I detail. These are a dryer, lighter, carbonated style that is reminiscent of beer (especially the 'hoppy' one). Not my style, but my friend was happy & ended up purchasing four kinds of honey! I recommend the 'coriander' which is a dark honey tasting of molasses. My friend was looking for Leyden, a Dutch cheese flavored with caraway & The Cheesemonger came through. I was impressed with their selection- everything from DeFelice & St Andre (creamy ripe soft cheeses) to Yancy's brand prepackaged garlic cheese curds & assorted other flavors (love their horseradish cheddar). It is spendy, but offers some excellent choices. We also wandered down to Mike's Meat Market for Landjagers. On Friday they have a freezer of assorted choices that are 50% off (can't beat that deal). Seafood, jerky & the usual meat suspects round out their offerings. We had limited time so we weren't able to grab a wine flight (definitely next time) or try the Gelato. Also on my to do list because I have visited South America... Caipurinas & Pisco Sours @ the Latin restaurant. The former is a refreshing Brazilian cocktail made with Cachaca & mint. The latter is Chilean or Peruvian made with Pismo, sugar & lemon juice- with the addition of egg white...
Read moreAmazing community of artisans and venders come together to share life beside the idylic backdrop of the flowing Columbia. Shoppers arrive on bike and foot, but parking is plentiful too. My all time favorite stop along the river to date. The structure itself is an authentic rehabilitation of the generations old Steelework warehouse. All of what is best of a creative energetic neighorhood can be seen when visiting market day. We were around Wednesday through Saturday. Art, jewelry, wine, baskets, live music.
While we were there a collective of local artists led by a guy named Jonathan Thomas were providing a free art camp for kids 4-99. Our kids were entralled to be a part this year where they explored sculpture, collage, photography, watercolor, typewriting, block printing and much more. Apparently they've been pulling people together for this clinic for over a decade. On Saturday they arrange kid's art in a gallery. Deep, meaningful gifts to all the makers and creators around. They've been doing this each year for over a decade now. Thank you!!!!
I bought two bouquets of fresh cut flowers from a lovely japanese lady and her son. She had Dahlias and Freesia cut from her garden that morning. I sat with another couple who seemed to know everyone. We enjoyed a breve and talked...
