Update 7/20/2025 Again, rude front end manager. He was in handling self check out he appeared overwhelmed. He was helping people out as soon as I asked him for help he ignored me and blew me off. He had just helped people and walked by me like I didnt exsist. He came back and some white lady said "help" he almost snapped his neck turning to help this lady out while he was assisting my mother and I. Once again company showing who they prioritize. After he couldn' help the whte lady he must of been upset because he was rude abd treated me like he must treat the employees under him. I sympathize anyone that has to work under his management.
Rude employees that openly prioritize seemingly "affluent" customers. After the self-service machine error, the cashier (Jaine P) was called over. Despite the fact that I called the cashier over she huddled watching me scan the rest of my items like a hawk, while ignoring other customers until I was done with my transaction. She spied on me with prejudice and overtly hovered as if I was attempting to steal the shrinkflated products. This was done on purpose so other customers could see that I was to be watched and gave the impression that I was a thief. The irony is the other customers probably stole products as this employee focused all her attention on me.This is the third incident where I am treated horridly while others around me are treated with respect and priviledge at this store. I called in to communicate the disrespect and demoralization to a manager, "Armando." He refused to deal/correct the situation and instead focused on my irate disposition. Here's a suggestion, close self service machines and open more registers if you don't trust your customers, instead of instigating and inciting "situations" with certain customers of a percieved ethicity or socio-economc standing. If I could give zero...
Read moreMy recent visit to HEB was made remarkable primarily due to its outstanding customer service. Right from the entrance, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly hellos, setting a welcoming tone for my shopping experience.
The staff members were not only approachable but also impressively knowledgeable. Whether it was finding a specific item or getting advice on the best product for my needs, they were eager to assist and provided accurate information.
I was particularly impressed by the efficiency of the staff. Despite the store being busy, they managed to address my queries promptly without making me feel rushed. This efficiency extended to the checkout process as well, which was smooth and hassle-free.
Overall, the customer service at HEB was a standout aspect of my visit. The staff's dedication to providing a pleasant and helpful shopping environment truly made a difference. I left the store not only satisfied with my purchases but also with the high...
Read moreMinimal selection. Really, there's all kinds of items where they don't even carry their own brand. What is that about?
Only one line open in the mornings. Which means there's some lone cashier that isn't getting paid enough struggling to keep up with the never ending flow of people queuing up with overflowing baskets. The other side of this is the cashier who's giving no cares which, not gonna lie, is a little understandable.
And then there's the self-checkout which could be a redeeming feature but not only is it geared exclusively toward those with only a handful of items, it's also a travesty convenience-wise. Like the difference between Wal-Mart self checkout and HEB is night and day.
Overall I prefer HEB but I think I'm kinda done with this...
