While my nails turned out fine, my first (and final) visit here was very disappointing.
I haven’t been able to get my nails done in four months. My normal nail artist is always booked solid, and I needed a last-minute appointment, so I decided to take a chance on Bella.
I made an appointment online the night before I wanted to get my nails done, with a tech I saw recommended in several Facebook posts. After booking my appointment, I received one automated email stating my appointment had been “sent to the owner.” The next morning, I received a series of two automated emails. The first said “appointment confirmed” and the second was another “appointment sent to the owner.” This seemed odd, but I didn’t think much of it.
When I arrived, imagine my surprise when the gentleman at the front desk abrasively said, “I tried to call you. You didn’t pick up the phone. Your tech isn’t available at the time you requested, so we moved your appointment.” A voicemail was not left, nor was a text sent, so I am not sure how I was supposed to know I needed to speak to them about the scheduling issue. Additionally, the subject lines of the emails I received gave no indication that the time of my appointment had been changed on my behalf.
There was no apology for the inconvenience or mix-up. Instead, they made me feel like I was to blame.
For whatever reason, after a few minutes of awkwardly waiting at the front of the salon, my tech abruptly appeared, and they were able to get started on my nails. At least from my perspective, it felt obvious my tech was not happy about having to see me at the time I had originally booked. We sat in almost complete silence for an hour and a half. I was never offered a water, unlike most people around me, and it was all just very uncomfortable.
The icing on the cake was going to pay and being charged an astronomical amount of money for the service I received. I have had the exact same service done at multiple salons around Wesley Chapel, and Bella was $20 MORE than the most I’ve ever spent. Since nail salons never actually break down the price of each “add-on,” I can’t help but wonder if I was charged extra because of the scheduling issue and the anger it clearly caused.
The only redeeming quality of this experience was that my nails look decent.
The techs are talented, but the online booking system needs to be improved, as does the customer service offered. A little kindness goes a long way.
After having to wait months to get my nails done, it was truly disappointing to not even get to enjoy...
Read moreI’m going to start with the good things because me and my daughter had a wonderful experience. Saturday, 06/21 my daughter and I both got gel manicures done. Both of our technicians were lovely! I don’t remember the lady who did my daughter’s nails but she was really funny and patience with her. I had Nancy and she was amazing!! She took her time making sure everything looked great. She gave me suggestions on what to do with my nails that were chipped and the one that had a crack in it. She even went out of her way to tell me the prices along the way. That day was wonderful. Sadly, the top coat on all of my nails started to chip off. One of my nails gel completely came off, and the nail that had a crack cracked through the gel and was lifting off. I tried coming back to the salon during the week, but I wasn’t able to make it before closing. Today, I come in before noon hoping someone can help. The man at the desk tells me to sit and someone will be with me shortly. A decent amount of time goes by and other people who are coming in AFTER me are being helped right away. Of course they could have appts but it just doesn’t seem likely that they all will! After 30 mins of waiting the man tells me Nancy should be done soon. Okay cool, I’ll sit and wait for her then, thank you for the communication. 20 mins after that, a lady comes over (not very friendly) and says “you need your nail fixed?” I let her know I was told to wait for Nancy, but her and the man both said they’d be happy to help me since I’ve been waiting a while. Okay, fine I’m explaining to this new lady the problems with my nails and she’s not even listening to me. The results are horrible, she’s not letting my nails fully cure under the lamps (she had me put them in there for 10 seconds and then would put another coat on which makes no sense to me). Then when I ask her if she can add top coat to the others I pointed out she tells me I didn’t tell her about them when I did!!! Now they look like lumps because she was angry I asked about it.
Overall, i had a lovely time last Saturday. I just don’t appreciate the way I was spoken to or treated today. I would have gladly waited for Nancy to have the results I wanted instead of being rushed to someone who clearly didn’t want to help me. I’m not sure if they offer refunds but that’d be greatly...
Read moreI really wanted to love this salon after all the reviews but I'm not sure if I'll be coming back, I'm giving it 3 stars because the inside is super pretty and nice, people are nice but my second time going I didn't have the best experience. First time I have Vinny and he was very kind, he did exactly what I wanted, he wasn't there when I came in the second time, I got with Nina I believe was her name, she was nice as well but my only issue with the salon is that I am EXTREMELY ALLERGIC to gel polish. I made it very clear everytime iv went that I CAN NOT have that, I will itch, get bumps, and have a rash. I did tell her many times, at the end when I kept asking her everytime she pulled out a bottle "is that gel?" She said no, at the end she put on gel clear top coat. I work in the beauty industry I know how nails work, but I don't have the time to always do it myself so iv been trying to find a spot I can stick too that will meet me halfway with not being able to get gel and it seems like it's an issue for this place. Then I get told by another girl "are u sure the last person didn't put gel on you?" I'm 100% sure, he showed me the bottle and it wasn't gel. If I could get gel, I would. That's all I used to get, but when someone tells you they have a allergy, I feel like you guys as artists should be more understanding and cautious about this. EDIT: they also never cut my cuticles everytime I came which I thought was very odd..... don't know if anyone else has had this issue or went through a...
