The owner, Dennis, was very friendly and knowledgeable. This business is a treasure and a dying breed. Dennis is an expert, and I was lucky to find him here in Milwaukee. A couple of months ago, I was on stage putting my Blue Baby Bottle microphone into the shock mount. I accidentally ended up twisting the outer case of the mic and sheared off the low cut and high decibel switches. This is a great microphone and getting in touch with the manufacturer customer service was futile since they were bought out by Samson last year. Dennis was my last resort. Because of the backlog due to Covid, Dennis told me there was a 24 week wait, but that it was a simple repair and he would try to fit it in between other projects. He even offered to save me money by showing me how to take it apart so I could get the part numbers for the switches, but I decided to let him do it since I’m just a musician. A week later, my microphone was done. I was so happy to have it done quickly and it sounds just as good as before. Electromania and Dennis get my highest...
Read moreI contacted Electromania to have an electronic circuit designed and was told it would be six weeks to which I agreed. I sent in the logic which I needed built but did not hear back so after 3 weeks I contacted Dennis the owner and he said he would get back to me. He did not so the next time I contacted him he said that his computer was malfunctioning and shut down and he could not remember what he was working on! I contacted him yet again at the six week mark and he told me I would have to pay rush charges if I wanted the piece in less than six weeks from that date. I all I contacted him six times and he never initiated any communication with me. In the end his failure to operate as a respectable business put my project well behind. I do NOT recommend contacting Electromania for any reason as Dennis is far...
Read moreThe owner of the store and engineer who works on electronics, Dennis, is the kind of person who will be irreplaceable once he retires! He worked on a rather complicated and unique tone arm for an older luxman turntable of mine and fixed it as new for $50. When I visited the store, we conversed for over 30 minutes each time about turntables and stereos. The first time I came, he told me to bring an old stylus I had (they cost 300$ to replace) and he cleaned it with a microscope yesterday for free! We rarely come across such businesses these days, what a pity! If you have older electronics that you like, consider taking it to Dennis, you will save money and learn something in...
