The staff does not meet you with a greeting or are interested in helping you. The only time I was greeted there was by an older gentleman and by a younger guy, otherwise the rest of the staff were not inviting or interested in helping with information with the product they carry.
Prior to the day I am writing this review I was there with my nephew and he had a drone that he lost the charger to. I ask the guy over by the rc counter and they didn't seem to want to help us. Then asked aske them about the drines they have but they did not seem like they wanted to answer my question. We were the only people in the store at the time.
Today I was browsing the Funko Pops I ran across a chase Pop sitting on the shelf. I took it up to the register to ring it out. The cashier took it to the back and came back and said it was not for sale.
I asked for the manager and he came up. I asked why it was not for sale. He excuse was that it was behind the counter and was put out by a new employee. It was not suppose to be for sale. He said that the employee put it out thinking he was doing the right thing. I then asked if it would be for sale some where else. He said that he would sale it for $30 because the Pop goes for a little more then that.
I really don't give out reviews but this was not the right thing to do.
First of all if it was not for sale it should not be on the retail floor. I found it where all the other Funko Pop were, which was not behind the counter. Any other retail store would owned up to their mistake and allowed the customer to purchase the product at retail price.
Secondly the manager/owner said he would sale it for $30, which is resale value. This make me think that he would cheat his customers because we would never see a chase Pop for retail at his store. The reason why it is called a chase Pop is because "for retail" this is a limited variation of that Pop that has more value. He was looking to make a profit on something that be should have been retail at his retail store.
It is his store and his lost of my...
Read moreLet me start by saying this I'm pretty sure it is illegal in Wisconsin for someone to sell you something and not let you exchange the item if it is defective.(exchange policy). I purchased a $1300 typhoon H class drone from HobbyTown USA in West Allis Wisconsin. I have not been able to fly this drone at all without it smashing itself into the ground from day one. When I called HobbyTown to ask for help they referred me to the drones manufacturing company and would not do an exchange with me. So after spending $1300 4 days after I bought my drone I had to ship it into the manufacturer which takes one full week to get there one full week for them to work on and diagnose the problem and a Nother full week to send it back to me so I spent $1300 to fly my drone one time watch it smashed into the ground when it supposed to have a GPS altitude and movement hold system. Which clearly does not work. I also had one of hobbyTown USA people take a look at it he also mentioned that there must be something wrong with that because it dropped 30 feet in altitude by itself Look I wasn't even looking for a refund I simply think and thought they still should offer me an exchange after selling me a $1300 drone that is less than four days old and will not fly. Drone now has some small damage because it crashed into the ground once very very minor damage once again their own tech Tom acknowledge that there was something wrong with that. So if it were me I would buy from a company like Amazon next time who would at least let you exchange it for another one. after speaking with the Drone manufacture I found out HobbyTown USA is not an authorized vendor for the Drone so they can't do any warranty work or wouldn't be able to return the drone. I do feel that should be posted before you spend a small fortune on a drone that is supposed to be very easy to fly. So once again they are not an authorized vendor of Yuneec products. This also means if you have them work on any of the Drone products it will void...
Read moreWent in to HobbyTown to see if they could help me with a whip . It had to be converted to a T60 from a LiPo end . I already purchased the whip from Spectrum online . It came with the wrong end . Didn't want to send it back to Spectrum online cuz it would have costed me as much as it was originally to purchase that particular whip . I went to HobbyTown in West Allis . They cut the end off, put the new one on for me and just charged me for the end . The cost of that . They didn't charge me for labor which was a surprising . I knew right then and there , they were a place to do business with !!!!!! I also returned to look at the RC monster crawlers . I needed some other supplies like a stand to put my 1/10 scale RCs on and whatever I purchase that's bigger than that down the road . So if I have to work on it . I also purchased a tool kit . The person that helped me is extremely knowledgeable and steered me , not out of what he wanted to sell or what was more expensive . But what's more practical from what they use and other people who told them about it The product I was looking at . He saved me money and I got what I needed !!!!!! That's what I call service !!!! Good luck getting that online , even when you do contact their customer service . Most of the time they never get back...
