I joined club Pilates, excited for a change in my exercise routine. When joining I was told there was a 5 am class Monday-Friday. Knowing that the 5 am class was the only time available for my exercise, I happily signed the 3 month contract for the $199/month. After being with the gym for 3 weeks, I was informed that the 5 am class was no longer available, except for Tuesday’s and Fridays. When I addressed my concerns, the Manager Kristi basically told me that they couldn’t run their business around my schedule. (I totally understand that not everyone wants to get up that early to exercise, and understand the business concerns). She said “she’s found that if people want it bad enough they would find a way to get there.” I agreed to try out the new schedule going in late to work 2 days per week. After another month, the late schedule was not working with work and home life. I reached out to cancel. Since I had just missed my billing cycle, she said I would have to fulfill my contract, which was 42 days later. (I was told I need a 30 day to cancel, but that is from the billing cycle.) I didn’t appreciate that I had to sign a contract, after clearly expressing my schedule needs, just to have the schedule change, but not have any flexibility with my membership contract. I found the manner and condescending tone in which the Manager communicates to be unprofessional and degrading. I am a very happy and reasonable person and was hoping to resolve this without contention. Buyer beware...read the fine print. Understand that the schedule can change at any time for any reason and you are wrapped into a contract that absolutely cannot change. I don’t need to be told that there are plenty of other class times available, when I have made it perfectly clear that those times don’t work for me. Also, you have to reserve a class on the app, they say that if you cancel within 12 hours you won’t be charged the $15 no show fee, however I canceled twice within the appropriate time and got charged. I noticed on my billing and they did reverse the charge...
Read moreI started Pilates based on the recommendation of my surgeon after having back surgery in fall of 2020. I knew after the first class that it would be something I love. I have had only positive experiences with instructors and I was around for the transition of the new owners- Janae and Matt. They are AMAZING! One thing that I particularly appreciate about this studio is that they frequently check in about injuries and really encourage you to listen to your body and modify the moves if needed. Most of my instructors are great at providing modifications if you need something easier or something more challenging than what they are teaching. Pilates in general is great for lifetime fitness and this is evident in the wide range of ages of people who attend classes here. Speaking of those people- they are the best! So friendly, welcoming and encouraging. I never feel the competition that I have felt in other gyms/studios. In terms of pricing- they are actually cheaper than non-franchise studios in the area and I go 5-6 times a week so it feels very reasonable and cheaper per class that way than a drop-in fitness class at any other gym or studio. I would HIGHLY recommend checking out Club Pilates Bountiful if you are interested in leveling up...
Read moreI wasn't planning on leaving a review, but I'm so disappointed with the professionalism at this establishment. I came here last year and it wasn't a good enough work out for me, paying for a 50 minute class and then having the instructors take 15 minutes to guide us through a complicated move didn't satisfy me. After I left I got nonstop calls and text messages. I asked them time and time again to take my number off of their list and, after a few times, they stopped contacting me- until today, a year later. They asked me if I wanted to do a free class. I told them no and that I asked them to remove my number a year ago. The person texting me then said "oh no! It looks like you already signed up for an intro class through online booking", a blatant lie. I looked at my banking and saw 0 charges for said class. I told them they shouldn't even have a card on file. The person then said "oh! It looks like this was last july". It seemed suspicious, since this is may. How would they see me signed up suddenly for a class that is 2 months away? I really think they lied to me about the recent charge. I have dealt with fraud before and this put a bad...
