Hello. Friday, December 6 I was in the bountiful Utah store... I was at the fine jewelry counter... employee Emily was helping one other customer in front of me with a credit application. Emily saw me standing and waiting for help... She did acknowledge me. I nodded when she said I'll be with you if soon as I get done with this customer.
It took Her about 8 to 9 minutes to finish up the application. Meanwhile another sales person walks up with a customer and tried to ring up a customer using the same computer that Emily was on.
Emily explained to the other sales person that she was in the middle of a transaction. Emily asked the other salesperson.... will you help her... Pointing to me.
The other sales person came over to me and showed me two pieces of jewelry in the case... I told her that I wanted to buy them if she ring me up. She said she would ring me up after she rang up the other lady who walked up after me... I immediately said - I have been waiting here for more than 10 minutes.
The second sales lady turned to Emily and Emily said ma'am to me- I'll ring you up after we ring her up - pointing to that other lady.
I told Emily I been waiting here long before her and you should bring me up. Emily refused to ring me up she insisted that she wanted to ring up the other lady. I have never been so humiliated in my life!
Even the other lady customer started to feel uncomfortable and she started to say- that's OK that's OK I'll wait for you ring her up.
After I saw that Emily was not going to ring me up before the other lady... And I don't know why... I said I would take my items to the main register at the front and I will just wait in line. Again Emily said, I can bring you up after I ring her up.
I am a very well-known professional woman in the community... But I felt as if I was actually a piece of dirt and trash. I was so humiliated I was almost in tears which normally doesn't happen.
Emily does not deserve to be a manager at TJ Maxx. I have shopped TJ Maxx for years even before moving to Utah and I have never ever ever experienced anything like this.
Emily should have rung my sale up because I was there waiting while she was finishing the credit application,Even before the other woman walked up. That's the bottom line.
Managers I need you to talk to Emily and if she says anything different she is a liar. And I would not trust her...
Read moreI would rate this a 5 because I like tj max a lot. But while I was there tonight around 730 ish I wasn’t too happy about what I assume was the manager or supervisor said to an employee. I was over by the fitting rooms where there was a teenage employee (white) on her phone and a lady who was older( Hispanic with darker hair) who was there working also. the older lady went to go tell a higher up about the teenager always being on her phone. The older lady then came back to the fitting rooms and sat down on one of the benches when a supervisor/manager (white with blonde hair) told her that she is not a teenager and she shouldn’t have to be babysitting her all day and she shouldn’t be spending this much time putting puzzles away all day and since she has only been doing that she has to put all of these clothes back where they belong and clean everything up. The lady then went to help a customer in to the fitting rooms. The supervisor/manager then spoke to the lady again about what she should/shouldn’t be doing and kept cutting the employee off whenever she had tried to say what she had done and not letting her speak at all. The teenager that was on the phone didn’t get addressed at all. I understand about things not getting done, but there is a better way to tell someone that then degrade her and there is a time and a place for talking to an employee. It certainly is not in front of customers. It should be in private. I don’t really think I will be coming back to...
Read moreWe go in here a lot for homegoods. I don't buy a lot of clothes in here. They aren't the best quality, and they are fairly expensive in relation to Ross which is across the street. However, we DO love the homegoods and I have been in here at least 5 times in the last month to buy bedding, decorations and bowls. They have some sexy stuff that is super cheap. I bought several new awesome cereal bowls, some decorative bowls and a brand new bedding set that was only $30 that would have typically run me at least $70 or more somewhere else. Their furniture is super cute and its in the mid range for cost. I haven't bought anything yet, but have considered an entertainment center. The customer service people are very nice and I had a very nice conversation with a girl while my daughter was trying on clothing. The bathroom is amazingly clean!!! That’s a...
