I've been gardening for 20+ years. I've been buying my flowers annuals and perrenials at CW for 10 years if not more. I spend approximately $1,000 a year. Not much but all I can afford. I understand that I am not their biggest paying client but I believe we smaller customers should be appreciated too. Every year at the end of May, I put in a special request. The special request is Persian shields, white & purple mexican heather, pentas and especially, vanilla marigolds. There's never been an issue. Within a week, I received a call and I pick up my order. In the Fall, I special request Durango marigolds.

This year, I was taken aback by the look of most flowers at CW. By May 30, they looked really bad and beaten. I was surprised because normally I leave with $400 bill and this time, I could not even get to $75.00

On May 30th, I put in my special request. I was met by a 5'10" older woman with gray hair and wearing a long skirt. As I put in my request with another associate, this older associate started to inquire about my special request. She took over and started to explain that it's late in the season and she went on to berate me openly about waiting to put in this special request. I attempted to explain that I do not garden early - usually the first week in June so the flowers last throughout the summer into the Fall. She continued to question me. I felt I was put on the spot and ridiculed for "waiting". No other year, with no other associate, have I been made to feel this way. I felt embarrassed and shamed. She went onto check her inventory and told me she had 12 racks coming in and they had pentas and Persian shields. The others she would have to check with her growers but seemed unlikely. She said I would have to pick from what's on the racks. I again asked her could she please inquire and she looked at me blankly. I asked if I would be receiving the customary call to update me and she said yes. I knew by her look that I would not receive a call.

I did not receive a call.

I attempted to contact CW offices 12x and there's no option to raise a concern directly. After 10+ years & $10,000+ of supporting CW, I feel so disrespected and unappreciated.

Marina

As per your response: Please do not lie. You did not call me the next day, not the next week or 2 weeks. You called me only once you saw my initial review on CW main page. You "pulled" the 2 types of flowers: pentas and Persian shields that I mentioned in this review and never called me to notify me within reasonable time. Once again, you only tried making contact once you saw the review on the CW main page. Do Not Lie against me, furthering insult to injury. Your attitude was horribly disrespectful, snotty and condescending. Maybe you thought I didn't know better. Maybe you had a bad day. Maybe you thought you could treat me like such and I wouldn't do anything about it. I have never been treated as such by anyone else. You do not need to be in customer service and if you plan on staying - adjust...

Beautifully designed store with a wide selection of plants and accessories and friendly, knowledgeable staff - overall a very positive and empowering plant shopping experience!

I’m a first-time plant buyer and shopper at Christy Webber, and was a bit wary as I’ve managed to kill all the plants I’ve been gifted over the years except one. I explained this to a staff person at the store when I arrived. Without judgment, they listened to my preferences and walked me through options for plants that require minimal light/watering, and how to pick the appropriate size pot. Then they lent me a tape measure and gave me the time and space I needed to browse. I fell in love with one plant.

I also had a particular color and style of pot in mind. Not only did the staff person spend a good deal of time looking for the ideal fit pot with me. When we couldn’t find it, they recommended another store for me to visit, which I did and returned later with the pot. My selected plant was waiting for me by the counter. I received extensive guidance for how to care for my plant from multiple staff members. Although Christy Webber offers complimentary potting, I wanted to pot on my own, and received tips for how to do this correctly, along with a vote of confidence. (The staff at Christy Webber clearly love plants, people, and their jobs.)

My partner and I are really happy with our new purchase, and “Gus” - a 2.5' seven-stemmed Dracaena Marginata - is adjusting to his new home. You may pay more at Christy Webber than you would at a Home Depot or CostCo, but it’s worth it for the quality of the products and...

This space is beautiful to shop in. Not only is it large and spacious, it is artistically arranged. This is a unique place to come and shop for your plant needs no matter where you are located in the city.

Their selection of plants not only ranges from your normal standard choices, but you are able to find plants that would be perfect gifts for someone who collects plants; and wants those unique hard to find items.

This place is also peaceful and reminiscent of childhood themes. If you are an 80's baby ,I assure you, that you will find plants in here that your grandparents had and maybe even some pottery that takes you back as well.

The cost is normal maybe a smidge higher than some plant spots, with sale items being a steal, some plants more costly than others and some are just amazing and totally worth the cost. It will serve you well to take your time and really look through the whole environment, because some of the plants I found were a great bargin. If you are looking for hard to find large pottery ,this is gonna be your spot. If you are looking for one of a kind plants, this is your spot.

The staff was welcoming and answered all my questions.

And no....im not being paid for this.....Webber is that awesome that I wanted to leave this message , cuz I know I have been sleeping on this place.

Without a doubt, I...

I love this store not just because they have beautiful, unique plants, but because the people that work there are an absolute pleasure to deal with. This store is a cross between an art gallery (oh, the pottery!) and a garden shop (so many unique plants!). But my favorite thing about shopping here is the women who work here. Rhonda and Marina so obviously love what they do, and it just makes me want to spend my money. Yesterday I was there yet again, taking advantage of the awesome end of year sale, less than an hour before they were set to close for the season, and Marina still gave my plants the most care when repotting them, and with a smile. She inspires me to want to be like that at my job. But I honestly am not sure I have it in me. She is literally, just like that: all smiles, and obviously super into her plants. I absolutely love the two I got. And don't even get me started on the pots. So cool!
