Horrible customer service. I stopped by this location to see if I could return a product. The associate asked me to wait because she needed to charge another person who just got in the line a few seconds after me. I waited for some minutes until she was done with that customer and then another person lined up. Then, I stepped forward because it was my turn but she asked me to move to the side and continue waiting. She said, “I need to attend the next person. You just have a question”. What kind of twisted thinking is that? These people decide if they provide service to you or make you wait longer based on the transaction you are making. When I asked her how long I would have to be waiting if more people keep getting in the line, she continued trying to prove her point about why she was making me wait. She was rude, defensive and disrespectful. The other customer tried to help saying that she could wait. Instead, this associate continues trying to prove her mindset right. I went to return a product and not dealing with someone’s pettiness and arrogance. At the end, I ended living with no support.
People like these give a bad reputation to Sephora. I never had such a bad experience in other locations. In fact, customer service is usually good in the location at Southport. However, some members are pretty ignorant and don’t know how to build relationships with customers and help to retain loyal ones. Today, I left with a bitter taste due to someone who doesn’t like her job and has no true knowledge/skills in sales, management and customer service. Some people just get paid for disrespecting customers. I truly regret making time to stop at this location. Sephora Kohl's locations seem to be the worse with people who don’t want to do their job. A true reflection of their poor...
Read morePreviously I was going to the Sephora at 938 W North Ave. But after every shopping experience getting progressively worse as I am a POC I could not handle going there anymore. The last time I called Sephora corporate and cried to the rep as I explained my experiences. See reviews for that location yourself. Moving forward I needed to go to Sephora for something they only carry and I wanted to try it out before purchasing. I decided to give this Sephora a chance and I absolutely loved my shopping experience. Not only was I offered/given assistance by David but I freely and comfortably used different samples, looked at new products, etc without fear that employees were watching/discriminating me. David was extremely helpful and so kind from start to finish. I even told my sister (who also had discriminatory experiences at the Sephora on North Ave) to go to the Sephora in Kohls. Thank you David and just this Sephora period for giving us POC the shopping experience we deserve.
Also, I highly doubt Sephora has done any inclusivity training for North Ave even after calling corporate, as reviews seem to still be...
Read moreI love (really love) shopping at Sephora but this particular location just wasn’t it. The employees here are rude judgy and were helping other customers who came after me despite me waiting for my turn. When they finally came around to me, I asked if an item was in stock and was told that she will check on it. Literally a few seconds later, the same associate started ringing out a customer who just got in line while the other associate was just standing behind the counter on her phone. I literally spent half an hour waiting until I went up to ask what was going on. Mind you, there were probably only 2 other shoppers...
