First time ever going to a Kohls. Had a gift return & wanted to exchange & also had Amazon return. Super cute there, loved everything that I saw, but the store seemed kind of.. organized chaos. Still, loving it. I return my Amazon item, and I actually knew the guy working there so I ask him how to go about returns. He said "Well for exact exchanges you can go to the cashier's up front, but for returns you go to customer service which are right back here." Okay cool, I wanted to exchange and I found an item I liked for my daughter so I wanted to buy it. I guess I didn't hear the "exact" part, so after waiting in line for 15 minutes the lady tells me "Oh well we can only do exact exchanges, you'll have to go to customer service. I'm so sorry you were misinformed and had to wait in line!" Okay, that's fine.. "Can I at least purchase my items since I just waited in line?" "Oh no, they can do that at customer service." Okay???? So I go to customer service and say I'd like to return my item and pay for the additional items I have. "We don't do purchases back here. Returns only." I also apparently had the "wrong" gift receipt and without a receipt I would only get $4 back for my item. Not even sure what the original price was, I just took my shirt back. I then went back and waited in the 15 minute line again so I could finally purchase my items. I don't know if it's all Kohls, or just this location, but the employees seriously need to get their stories straight. Would much rather order online than ever go through that unnecessary...
Read moreIt was a madhouse which I guess is to be expected. First... They keep moving the Amazon return area, 3 times since December. And the lady running it wasn't exactly helpful when my 3 g wasn't working she never thought to say, oh we have Kohl's guest wifi. Instead she kept telling me to turn off my bluetooth cause that's sometimes the problem. She was pretty rude about it all too. Secondly... The jewelry associate was not that helpful either, running theme here! After being called over to the counter she looked at the bracelet I wanted to exchange *told her that I wanted to exchange it. Then pointed them out and disappeared. Never said, when you're done I'll do your exchange, just walked away. I stood in the extremely long return line until finally the very nice associate, informed me that she could have exchanged it up at the counter. And the jewelry associate should have never sent me back there. I explained that she never even mentioned anything about it and dissapeared, she assured me it would be...
Read moreShopped at kohl’s about 2 weeks ago. cashier left a security tag on the dress I purchased. I stopped and opened my bag for them to look through and they took the lazy way out stating that it must’ve been my shoes that set off the security alarm. I had tried everything on so I threw out receipt. Went to wear the dress this weekend and realized it had the security tag. I took it back to kohls to have them take the tag off and the male cashier was very rude. A $190 credit statement in email as well as trip visit survey wasn’t enough without receipt. He called manager and said this lady “claims she bought this.” Trying to accuse me of picking it up today and not wanting to pay for it. After I just walked into the store with it. In the kohls bag. After his manager told him to take the tag off I said thank you, he didn’t respond. I said have a nice day and again he didn’t respond—what a horrible customer...
