Harmon Park — Attraction in West St. Paul

Harmon Park is absolutely an excellent park facility to go to. To the left of the parking lot is a regulation sized hockey rink during the winter months. Warming house facilities are or can be made available. To the left of that is a extremely large flat open field about 1 city block wide and almost 2 full city blocks long. Perfect for two differant baseball/softball games simultaneously. Or football / soccer/ bad-mitten jarts whatever. Also golf practicing. Frisbee throwing with the dog pick-nick family fun ect. Infront of the parking lot are 4 or 5 regulation size baseball fields each one fenced in and self contained. Dugouts ext. Also beverage shack and bathrooms with showers available. In-between those two items is a excellent sized building available for???? Andf to the right of the parking lot is a very comfortable large building for private parties ect. Also contains bathrooms. And then to the right of that building is a very large and extreamly fun for the kids water park, that has constant running water coming out of several differently designed spray mechanisms. Then adjacent to the eater park is a jungle jim slide park for the kids with a sand based floor. All made as safe as possible for the kids. AND PARENTS, the best part is there is plenty of sitting area and park benches and pavilion topped table areas for you snd your friends to chat while enshuring the safety and wellbeing of your child. And after all that and the 2 available bathrooms is a large area equiped with several barbeque sites for your charcoal cooked meals or warmth on a cooler evening. Lots of trash and recyclable recepticales for easy cleanup. And did you state that after all that play and food and ??? Although tirering you needed a nice comfortable walk to stretch the legs and digestion in preparation for the ride home??? Well there is also a good sized walk pathway made of quality tarred / no potholes walk way for you. And just to top it off. If your lucky. That's right .... The ice-cream street truck deliverers 2 or 3 differant venders come by with some of your most favorite ice-cream treats, for the drive home. Or just before if the kids ate messy.

So folks. Yes. I think Harmon Park is an excellent facility to enjoy and take full advantage of.

Love Harmon Park. In the park there are two playgrounds, one on the NW corner and the other on the SE corner of the park, a splash pad (NW) and an absolute ton of baseball fields. In the winter there's a warming house for an ice skating rink, and there's always a giant open field adjacent the rink to play a game of catch or hone your disc throwing skills. During the summer months there are a lot of people who have picnics/bbq's here (and they seem to forget that there are like 20 trash and recycling bins spread around the park), but people sure do enjoy the park's facilities. In-between the baseball fields is a building where the middle and high schoolers seem to congregate, and there's one recycling bin who always seems to donate its lid to help boost kids onto the...

Have been here many times this summer, fun everytime!!! Restrooms were open clean and stocked! Have seen park workers fixing things as well as picking up trash, no drug paraphernalia anywhere and sand was clean. Cool water came out sprayed as it should have Nice place for birthdays or just to stop and beat the heat!!! On this day, the ice cream man was through twice and there was a taco truck on the street We have been here more than a dozen times and only once did we well one of my daughters have an issue with another toddler hitting Very Chill Kudos to the staff and Parks...
