We recommend it! We are grateful for this unique pub in our local neighborhood.

The Forest Walk beverage was the hit for the two of us who tried it out. It has gin (which they kindly cut in half for me), grape liqueur, Spruce-Tip Reduction, Tonic, AND a real spruce tip served in a highball. We learned that the spruce tip was from the owner’s own back yard! If you are still looking for something special this holiday season, you won’t be disappointed with this perfect blend of flavors. This has to be one of the Twin Cities best ever holiday beverages.

Chef Robert at the FoodSmith Bistro-Pub in St. Paul, MN gave us a delightful dining experience. One might not expect to find this dining experience as it seems nestled in a quiet neighborhood; one might quickly drive by and not recognize that this restaurant is there. Our server was quite gracious, let us choose where on the patio to sit near an outdoor heater, and knowledgeable.

Our waitress steering me toward the Charcuterie Board. We were so glad she did. It amply fed the two of us. It loaded with meats, cheese, bread, vegies, and mustard. I also had the Pulled Pork Street Tacos. They were perfectly cooked, the meat was rich with flavor and delicious.

This will definitely be a place I plan to come back to. We love to support our exceptional local restaurants. Offering meal take out opportunities. Also, they sell an amazing organic Oleavia bread dipping oil, which we tasted and find exceptional. That will make...

Decent food and a good club sandwich. Lots of beers on tap.

September 2024: I hadn't been here in a while so we stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. They were having trivia night but they found us a table in their annex room and said we could play trivia too. They never gave us a tablet or instructions to play and forgot about us for a while.

Waitress takes our beer order and funny thing is, I can see through the barn doors on the wall to the bar. The bartender is fraternizing with two people at the bar that he was VERY interested in and was not making drinks or pouring beers, including ours. 15 minutes go by and I see waitresses start pouring their own beer orders because he is too busy. I was about to walk out and leave but he finally poured our beers and our poor waitress delivered them in seconds. But no apology for the wait.

Food was very good, the havarti club for me and salmon and rice bowl for my wife. Waitress didn't check on us to see how our food was, just cleared our plates when done.

The bill comes and there is an automatic 5% kitchen wage charge added. I don't agree with...

We decided to stop here for a bite to eat and the food was fantastic. The service was great we had Cheyenne who made sure we were taking care of ans made some great recommendations. The Brussel spouts came out and the were not crunchy like I liked them but the bourbon maple glaze made me rethink my likes and dislikes. They were so good we ate them all.

The nachos came out next and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. The nacho fixings tasted fresh and it had the right amount of heat. The next item was the creme brulee. Well im a big on creme brulee and that makes me judge others very harshly. The creme brlulee here is very creamy and rich. The consistency was a little too soft and could of been baked longer. I did not detect any vanilla beans in it at all. The burnt sugar on top was fantastic and had that nice crunch you want when you hit it with your spoon. I have had lots of creme brulee in Minnesota and this one makes it on my list. I will need to try it again so I will...
