After seeing the other reviews I am disappointed I didn't get the same experience. On Friday 12/6/24 at 5:30pm I picked up a pair of Ugg boots that I decided to get professionally cleaned. It's my first time doing this thinking they will surely do a much better job than me. I quickly glanced at the boots through the bags and they appeared clean so I left but had to go back about 10 minutes later because upon closer inspection I saw they were still dirty. When I went up to the counter to show the man that had handed them to me earlier, he looked at the stains and said they appear to be denim stains from jeans (?). I wear those Uggs with leggings which go on the inside of the boots. I told him they weren't cleaned well, and also showed him the side of the soles which were still dirty and he said those are scuff marks that don't come out (?). I told him the job they did is something I expect if I cleaned them myself, that's why I took them to get cleaned professionally. He then shows me a note stapled to some paper that says that's why we say not all stains can come off (of course). So I tell him how do I know the person that cleaned them just didn't do a very good job? He started getting rude with me and I told him to stop being so rude. He said he was being rude because I was, but I at no point ever insult his person or was yelling etc..., my complaint was about the dissatisfaction I had about the job done, but he kept being rude and condescending, as if I was being irrational and he was responding in a very patronizing way, not at all professional. Then he started to play mind games. I said: "I feel like these weren't cleaned very well" and he said: "Well, there you go, you said "feel" and that's not a fact, those are just your feelings." Apparently all I had to do was use the word I KNOW these weren't cleaned well and the problem would have been solved. After being rude and telling me all the reasons why the stains were still there he patronizingly said, "We can try to clean these again if you want" but not in a good customer service type of way, just condescending. I grabbed my boots to leave and said I was going to write a review because he was being so rude. I walk away, already facing away from the counter with my back to him and he keeps verbally insulting me saying that my feelings are not facts etc... I couldn't believe the lack of customer service and unprofessionalism. I have attached pictures of the boots. The pictures are from immediately after getting them back supposedly cleaned but they look like they were just brushed. They look like the did when I dropped them off. I had hoped for clean boots, but instead I paid $50 to get dirty boots and a very bad customer...
Read moreFirst time consumer. Will not return. The store is clean and seemingly well organized. I brought 1 pair of shoes that needed to be glued to the soles. It was a pleasant interaction when dropping them off. The employee in the front seemed very sure that this was a simple proceed. And charged $30 for the repair. Upon my return to pick up my shoes, I noticed that one shoe had been glued crooked. I mentioned it to the employee at the front desk (the same person that I dropped my shoes off with) and he proceeded to say that the shoes can’t be perfect. I stated that I was not looking for perfection but that the shoe looked crooked to the naked eye. He proceeded to say that the shoe can’t be perfect. In addition to that, the other shoe had pleated fabric and the pleated fabric had an area glued with the fabric going in the opposite direction of the remaining fabric on the shoe. The shoe was not like that prior to the repair at the Shoe Hospital. The employee stated that the shoe could not be repaired perfect and that he told me that it would be a difficult repair and that the repairman did the best that he could. He also stated that the only person that could make the shoe perfect was the person who made it in the first place and that particular machine. I proceeded to state as I had previously, that I was not looking for perfection and that he had not disclosed to me that the repair would have any difficulties. Had he disclosed this information I would have set my expectations accordingly. Furthermore, the employee had not interest, concern or understanding regarding the issue until another employee walked to the front counter. I proceeded to tell him that I did not want to continue going back and forth with him because he had an excuse for everything that I stated was an issue with the repair and thank you for the services. He only, then, started to act concerned and offered to fix the shoe but as I stated to him, at that point, I did not trust him or anyone else in the store with my property and I would not allow anyone in the store to “repair” my shoes for a second time. He asked several times at that point to allow the repair but I stated that I no longer trusted the company and since he stated previously that he told me it would be a difficult repair, when in fact he did not, I knew that the trust factor was gone between the company and I. I thanked him and the other gentlemen for their services and walked out extremely unsatisfied. I will not return. As a matter of fact, I plan to find another shoe repair to fix what Shoe Hospital didn’t do correctly. I would not have written a review had I not received an email asking...
Read moreWon’t be coming back. 2nd strike for me using shoe repair services only to have subpar work.
I brought my shoes here about two months ago to put heal caps. That part worked perfectly fine. The staff was very friendly and convinced me to put the sole protectors on my shoes since they were worn a bit in the bottom. I agreed to the tune of around $35. Picked up my shoes and they looked nice and walked very comfortably for less than 10 wears. At that point the toe from both shoes started to come unattached from the sole, literally unglued. I brought them in for repair from defective work and was told that I would have to pay extra money for them to fix the problem which I didn’t have before they were originally worked on. Laughter going back-and-forth with an agent I believe a sales manager came in and tried to correct the situation by telling me he would offer me a pair at $10 versus 20. I was told that putting the protective sole on the bottom made them heavier and therefore my original sole would have come off eventually. Doubtful since they showed no signs of wear at the toe before. Since I didn’t want to stay there and argue, and considering they’re supposedly the shoe experts, I agreed to a discounted repair price of $10 and was assured they would be completely redone and reglued to fix the problem. I return a week later to pick up my repaired shoes and noticed one shoe looks fine, the other was visibly separating at the toe and crooked. And there were scuff marks on the top of my shoe which weren’t there before. The sales clerk tried to give me all types of explanations of why it was that way, when ultimately they just did a crappy repair job. I’m definitely not convinced that shoe will hold up but was told if it falls apart within a month I can bring it back for free repair. After all I’ve paid I probably would’ve done well to put in an extra $40 and buy a whole new pair of shoes. But I trusted them because I liked the design of the shoe I brought in and now I’ll just have to wait and see if they hold up. Most of the employees seem nice, but they are experts at trying to convince you that you don’t know what you’re talking about when it comes to shoes or tell you that your she was bound to fall apart begin with. They do perfectly fine putting heal caps on but that’s As Far As I Would Go. I Won’t Be Going to Them for Any sole repairs/pads...
