Nubia Is short of hearing or just doesn’t understand English!!!! She did not listen to anything I was saying and completely ignored me. I am really disappointed with the service here. This was the worst experience!!! I should have saved my self from all the scratching and pulling of my scalp and just stayed home. This place is a joke!!! The hair cut was terrible and the styling of my hair was the worst. They claim to be experts but they know nothing about curls. During the cut she was more concerned about teaching someone else how to cut hair rather than understanding what I wanted. She completely ignored my requests and did what she wanted. I told her she was cutting too much and that I didn't want it that short but she continued to do it anyway. She said it's not that short even though I told her she was cutting too much. Now I have short hair that I do not want. Why couldn't she listen to what I wanted why did she just ignore my request!!! Also she had 5 people standing and watching while doing my hair cut and talking to them rather than paying attention to me. I did not signup for her to use me as a lab rat to shower her friends how to cut hair. Do that on your own time!!!! They are really rude by doing this. Also the whole hair styling experience was terrible and uncomfortable. My back and neck is in extreme pain . They had me flipped upside down in a chair that's not meant to be reclined just to use the defuser. Which I complained and she stated thats how it has to be done!!. The neck pain is terrible!!! The whole experience was a nightmare. Do not go here unless you want some grumpy old woman who thinks she's the best even though she sucks!!!! How can you please your customers if you don't listen to what they want. She doesn't know a thing about hair stay away !!! Also the place is so dated and the equipment they use is terrible. The chair they had me reclined in was broken and even the styles kept commenting on it. I suggest she invests in better equipment for her customers. Just shows how much she really doesn't care about the community!!!. The place is located in the worst part of westfield. Looks like she just wanted the address to state it's Westfield. This place looks and feels like it's more in Elizabeth New Jersey. She also looks very scary. Stay away from this grumpy...

Painful Anti-Hair Loss Treatment

What I expected to be a relaxing and beneficial hair spa treatment turned out to be one of the most uncomfortable experiences I've had. The technician who washed my hair was extremely rough, pulling my hair with unnecessary force despite my verbal complaints about the pain.

The aggressive hair pulling caused significant inflammation across my scalp. Even worse, she pulled so forcefully that substantial amounts of hair came out, leaving certain areas of my scalp completely exposed and extremely sensitive. Despite clearly communicating that I was in pain, the technician continued with the same rough technique.

Instead of helping with hair loss, this treatment actually worsened my condition. My scalp remained sensitive for days afterward, and I noticed additional hair loss as a result of the treatment. I cannot recommend this service to anyone, particularly those already dealing with hair loss concerns.

If you're seeking anti-hair loss treatments, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a gentler, more professional approach. Also, the technician did not speak English so if you plan to get this done make sure you speak Spanish. The reason I put 2 starts is because the blow dry afterwards was great.

You're right that I didn't express my discomfort during the appointment. The pain increased gradually, and I wasn't sure if it was normal for this type of treatment. By the time I realized it wasn't what I expected, the service was nearly complete, and I didn't want to cause an issue. Although I did tell the technician that she was hurting me.

While I did enjoy the blow dry portion, the treatment itself was quite uncomfortable and didn't match what was described to me beforehand. Perhaps better communication about what to expect during the treatment would help future clients. Although I doubt pulling hair chunks would ever be on the description.

I understand that you're reviewing this with your team. If I do return in the future, I would appreciate discussing treatment options that might be better suited for my needs and sensitivity level.

I was static when I booked my appointment, even traveled 2 1/2 hours to it. My appointment was with Nubia “The Rizos Queen”- What an under statement.

For starters staff was nice and welcoming. I was seated in her chair right away, I explained I wanted to maintain my length but cleaning the ends well. The haircut lasted 5 minutes (May I add, I have a lot of hair, her cut consisted of parting my hair in 3 sections, bunching them together and carelessly chopping off the ends). Within those 5 minutes she disappeared like 3 times. She didn’t bother to educate me on my curls, tips or comments. Everything was cut throat and to the point.

She then handed me off to her assistant to wash and style, (I was given one shampoo then styled; very cheap if you ask me, if you are going to charge me $205) quite frankly I knew more about curly hair than her assistant. Must I add that at the time her assistant was 2 weeks in new and never worked with curly hair before.

I was so disappointed by the hair cut. My hair was chopped, literally. My length was gone and all I was left with was strains pieces of hair. — The cut was so bad I had to fix it 2 days later near my home.

I contacted the salon various times, provided pictures of the horrible work that was done. I was ignored for 2-3 days. By the time the manager contacted me her response was “you asked for her to retain length”. Initiating as if it was my fault for the horrible work that was done to me. In all I asked for a full refund, I was told Nubia will call me back to discuss, it has been 2 months since that horrible experience. Save your money! If you really want a great hair cut go to Dream Angel Salon - Joe’ is the best!

I also want to add, I have dominican thick hair, most of her models in IG have well manageable hair. She is only going to post what is best for her brand.
