Was just in the store to drop off a FedEx package as I have done numerous times before. As always, I queued at the FedEx line which, as always, is separate to the copy/print line which had a few people in it. The reason there are separate queues, as explained to me by OfficeMax staff on a separate occasion is that dropping a package is so quick compared to print customers which take considerably longer. In fact the first time I was there I was specifically told not to queue in the copy/print line if I was just dropping a package. I was absolutely berated by the customer service woman at the counter who insinuated that I was jumping the queue. I then contacted the store manager to explain how their staff member treated me and to my astonishment he was even more rude than the first staff member. It then became very clear that this is not the place to come if you are expecting good customer service, or people to do things in a speedy and efficient manner. Dropping a package is a 30 second task, its very simple for staff to manage this while helping copy/print customers. I get it, it doesn’t make you money but to make someone wait a half hour to drop a package is absurd. Figure out a process, it really shouldn’t be this hard nor such a...
Read moreSo if you need any help at the print counter, you have to wait 24 / 48 hours for help. I had a file that I was “self printing” and it came out a little too small for the page and I asked them if they could just blow up “one” copy, and I would do all the other work myself. And they said no, they’re 24 to 48 hours before they could help me. I thought it was weird so I talked to a manager and the manager said that all print is “drop off” and you can pick it up but all I was looking for was one copy, let me reiterate, this one copy, blown up, so I could do the rest of the work myself and they said no. I’m standing in their business just looking for them to blow up one copy to full-size so I could do the self service work and they told me no. I’m repeating it because it’s just so silly. Just really really really weird. I’m shaking my head. And to be clear, this was one copy I was looking for not a printing job and I was standing in their store and...
Read moreI was shopping for the poly protectors as I printed out some vintage instruction manuals. Guess what Amazon didn’t have the lowest price! If you’re a smart shopper, you’ll do some quick price checks. I was quite pleased to find these at OfficeMax/Office Depot. And they were on sale. Even though there was no sale price posted in the store the sales associate at the register did a price match for me. i’m mad I did not get his name because he was great at customer service!
Sadly, this brand won’t be able around for much longer is a lost corporate business to WB Mason, but if you have needs for office supplies for home or small business, please try to support them. And WB Mason‘s prices are not all that great. I would put OfficeMax/Office Depot on...
