Superfruit Republic - Westminster — Restaurant in Westminster

Had to go through the worst "customer service" I've experienced in years just to find out they didn't have our first, second or third picks off the menu.

Edit - To answer the owner's reply, yes, it was the Superfruit Republic in Westminster near the theater and I was the customer who asked for the waffle. And my wife asked for the steel cut oats which they didn't have either. My wife also asked for an acai bowl but eventually had to settle for the dragonfruit option because we were told it's not possible to get the acai bowl without banana. At least that's the best we could understand because we barely hear anything the worker was saying despite repeated attempts.

That's the main impetus for my review - the customer service. This is the first Superfruit Republic we've been to. We stood at the counter for at least 3 minutes with no acknowledgement from the staff who just silently went about their business. It was not busy when we were there, maybe two or three other people in there. How hard is to say, "we'll be with you in a minute" just so we have some idea they are eventually going to serve us and we don't need to go somewhere else?

When someone finally came to take our order, we had to repeatedly ask her what she was saying as she barely spoke above a whisper and was too disinterested to be forthcoming with options that didn't include banana. Eventually I was able to pull out of her, when I could hear what she was saying, that the dragonfruit bowl was supposed to not have banana, so we finally got that. After a couple bites from both of us, it tasted like it also had banana mixed in. Or perhaps that's just how that tastes. Either way, we threw it in the garbage and left. As I said, that's the worst experience I've had in years and we won't be back.

We saw in this location gets great reviews from other people, so they either love your food in spite of the customer service, or they were just having a very disinterested...

It was my first time in, and likely my last. Service was horrible, I don't need to be treated like royalty by any means, however it feels like at least the basics would have been fun. You know, like being greeted upon walking into the store or at least up to the counter would be a good thing (But neither happened, they were too busy talking amongst themselves to care). Or even a simple thank you for stopping in, instead I got walking up and putting my finished smoothie on the counter and then walking away without saying anything.

Husband and I used to go to Superfruit Republic for years over in Central Park. Amazing bowls and smoothies with great texture and flavor. Today we tried the shop in Westminster and will not be going back, especially for the price we paid for two bowls ($37ish dollars). The acai bowls were basically water at the base and totally lacked any flavor whatsoever. Banana was ok but the mango was tasteless and bland and added nothing to the bowl. The granola was basically just oats thrown on top. The added honey was the only flavor in the bowl which I was grateful for. If the texture could be thicker and not soupy ice/water, I could try getting through the bowl, but not at this...
