Kellerman's Event Center — Attraction in White Bear Lake

This review is way overdue! When my husband and I walked into Kellerman's we were greeted by Kristin and Terry at the door. We were looking for a wedding venue in the fall of this year. This was the first venue we toured and we weren't sure what to expect or what we wanted. Kristin asked us what we had in mind for our wedding - we told her we had no idea. Only a rough idea of how many guests we would have. She eased our minds letting us know that she would be as "hands on" or off as much as we wanted. Her and Terry then walked us through the venue. "Wow" is the best way to describe it. What makes it even more amazing is that Terry created everything himself. From the men's bathroom to the Austrian chocolate shop, the setting was incredible and unique. If Terry's creative view of a European street scene isn't incredible enough, Kristin's coordination is stellar. Her attention to detail and ability to read people made planning everything seamless and easy. My 9 year old daughter followed her through a couple meetings and she was so patient letting her "help". She even made sure her requested pineapple juice was on the bar menu. The vendors Kellerman's offers were fabulous. When we had an issue come up with one of our vendors outside of Kellerman's recommendations, she calmed our (my) stress and even offered to reach out to one of their preferred vendors if we needed a last minute change. Before the ceremony, she brought food and drinks to the bridal suite, making sure we all remembered to eat. During the ceremony and reception, she guided our guests, helping them with any questions. At one point someone noticed that our advice cards weren't seen by everyone, Kristin took handfuls of them to different guest tables making sure they knew about them. She was able to discretely and tactfully regulate a guest who had "overindulged" at the bar. She was warm and personable, everyone of our guests who had the pleasure of meeting her told us afterward how amazing she is. She genuinely went beyond what we could ever expect from an event coordinator. It has been 2 months since our wedding and we are still hearing from friends and family how amazing Kellerman's was. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I wouldn't hesitate. A fantastic venue to host...

So you know that feeling that you get when you walk into a room? That really good feeling that makes you say "this is the one"? Just know that all of your guests experience that same feeling. As you watch them walk through the door, looking around the room, pointing and smiling and just in awe of where they are...... It's satisfying. That is what you get with Kellerman's Event Center. Rustic charm perfectly balanced with elegance. They clearly knew what they were going for when they designed and decorated this place. And it is fantastic. The open wood ceilings with exposed metal framing really shows well in the wedding pictures. They also just added a parlor downstairs, and expanded the Bridal Suite. We had 12 girls in there comfortably for the 4 hours leading up to the start of the ceremony, so I think it is safe to say that it can accommodate any size bridal party. When shopping for a wedding venue, remember that you are not only choosing a building, but the people that come with it. And these people are fantastic. When you choose Kellerman's, you get a day-of coordinator named Kristin. She is lovely, and was a complete blessing, and a joy to work with. She handled EVERYTHING for us, and worked with our other vendors directly so we didn't have to. She was able to grant every single request that we threw at her. Like I said..... A blessing. What a cool place. While making our rounds during the dinner to greet our guests at their tables, at least one person at every single table commented on what a wonderful place we chose to host our wedding. We had a lot of out of town guests at our wedding because both my wife and myself grew up in other states. We wanted to give our guests memories of a place like Kellerman's. Something they would tell their friends, family, and co-workers about. Kellerman's checks every box. Want to talk affordability? Kellerman's was right in the middle of all of the venues we toured. The bar pricing is fair. The deposit is low. And did I mention how cool this place is? Go see it for yourself. Kellermans is the perfect place to get married! It’s beautiful! We didn’t need many decorations as it’s beauty stands on its own! Kristen, our wedding coordinator was detailed and knowledgeable. She worked with us every strep of the way and went above and beyond to ease our minds and help us with anything we needed. She was prompt with questions I had and communicated well. She was very knowledgeable of the vendors in the area and helped communicate with them. During the wedding she ensured to communicate with vendors about timing (we had Donitellis for dinner- delicious, and studio 220 photography- super awesome!) Schedules moved around quite a bit due to couples rescheduling their wedding but she was flexible and kept communicating with us! She allowed us to have drinks in the parlor after the rehearsal when the bar wasn’t open yet. The business really goes above and beyond for its patrons!

The day of the wedding was extremely smooth and easy. She kept us on time without rushing. At one point she realized I didn’t have my drink during toasts and got me one. She really looks at the details. She assisted with set up and take down and had wonderful ideas! This was a small Covid wedding and had a great balance of ensuring everyone was safe and having a great time!

The bar service was great! Check out the Alchemist bar... beautiful and great for wedding photos! Also, the most delicious mixed cocktails! A wonderful balcony! Gorgeous brides room and unique grooms room. Brides room has lots of space with plenty of places to do hair/makeup and great lighting! A beautiful full length mirror for pictures. Take a look at the beautiful pictures I. Their website and you will fall in love! The grooms room had awesome decor...a motorcycle, pool table, bearskin chairs. So cool! The owner made many of the decorations, doors, etc himself and gave us the grand tour when we first saw the space! Check our the brewery attached—great beer!
