The UPS Store — Local services in White Lake Charter Township

These reviews must be from friends or family. I am sorry I went here. I turned around and started to leave and the guy say he could get it there. I dropped off an urgent, overnight package for my daughter in college, paying $75 for a small package. It included an $11 fuel surcharge and it literally sat in their store for over 30 hours going absolutely nowhere. It finally said it is in Pontiac at 7:59p so it progressed maybe 10-12 miles down M59 in 34 hours. I could cry. It was "guaranteed for 3p," now its saying it will arrive by 7p. They deliberately do not start tracking until it leaves their store on a truck, not when you drop it off which is key.

If its important, do not go here, drive the 20 minutes yourself to a UPS hub, or better yet, use FedEX. I could have driven it to my daughter and back to Michigan in less time. Sigh.

Edit: Responding to his reply with pictures showing it never left their store until after 6p and the tracker showing an EDT of 7p on Tuesday. I had no idea the box would sit in a store from 10:30am Sunday to after 6p on Monday. Yes once it got to NY it sped up and beat 7p, the time quoted in the UPS tracking system, that's more of a reflection of the speed of the NY UPS delivery team. So...

Beyond their excellent shipping services, The UPS store offers a range of other services including notary, fax, and printing which I have used in the past. Yesterday, my home office printer unexpectedly broke down and I found myself in a bit of a bind trying to print a return label for a package I needed to send back via UPS. I called the store and spoke to Ben, who suggested I email the label to the store. When I arrived at the store, Ben had not only printed the label for me but also offered to attach it to the package free of charge. Going to this UPS store is a pleasure. Extremely nice staff. Going here makes returns or sending any packages, simple and quick. Every time I've used this store, I'm in and out in a minute or two. They do all the boxing, label printing so all I have to do is give them the item, address, and grab my receipt. Making pesky errands for returns, a pleasure rather than an overwhelming task.
