I shop here regularly. Im an artist. I paint sculptures for a living. Going back a couple years this place was great. I’ve been shopping here for over 6 years now. Great customer service. Nice polite employees who greet you when entering and checking out of the store. Products consistently stocked & cleanly. I don’t expect any store to have everything in stock all the time. However. As of late this store seems to not restock any of the products I use. The customer service nose dived. About year ago a new employee charged me double for my order. Then when I mentioned it I received an attitude as if I was crazy. Keep in mind I buy this stuff regularly. I know the cost. The manager had to refund me and even that was as if I’m a burden. Today I go into the store and I was greeted. However when looking for items I need, couldn’t find them. Mainly sealer. I wondered maybe if they had moved it somewhere else for whatever reason. I asked this dark haired female employee and she just didn’t seem interested in what I needed help with. Back turned to me, not listening. Whatever. I grab the items I could find and headed to the check out. Cashier was chatting with the customer checking out. Very friendly towards her. The name of this cashier I think is Tammy P. That’s the name on my receipt. When I got to the counter not so much as a peep. No hello or did you find everything ok, nothing. I think I understand the reasoning behind her being cold. I’m wearing a hat that’s affiliated with a certain political organization. But personally I work with people of all backgrounds and beliefs. I have many customers who don’t believe what I believe and did not vote for who I voted for. They deserve respect no matter what. They are the customer. Shocking a middle aged woman lacks the ability to do that when her job is in customer service. Depending on wether or not they can get certain items back in stock will depend on wether I decide to still shop at this location. Oh and that’s another thing I asked a couple visits ago when they get trucks in and I assume the manager lady was who responded with “already got it”. How about something more welcoming? We already recieved our stock this week, was there something your looking for? This isn’t rocket science. Your all middle age....
Read moreUsually when I go there the employees are kind. Today everyone seemed pretty rude. No smiles at all, just looks. I asked one employee for help finding the tissue paper because SO much of the store is in random places. Like there is a toy aisle, then a different aisle or two, and then more toys? Like why not have them next to each other.
The other day I was looking for scissors and they had to look in MULTPLE areas, because instead of having all the craft scissors together they are placed in different areas.
The decorative storage bins and plastic storage bins, and baskets are ALL in different sections! I found like 2 different areas of plastic ones, and the cardboard ones in 3 different areas.
The store is so insanely confusing... so yes I had to ask the employee for help. She with an attitude took me to one of the party aisles and from the END said "it's right there" but it was at the other end of the aisle. I could not tell where she was pointing. Again no smiles or greeting the entire time we were there, and we walked around nearly the whole store (only skipped the fabric/floral side)
They maybe need some more elder employees. They are usually the helpful, kind, ones full of smiles.
My visit today really turned me off that store. I think I am going to look around for other places to shop. Also the music puts so many people in a bad mood. It is depressing music. Look at the other comments and they mention the vibe being off as soon as you walk in. It is the music. I have had a panic attack from the weird funeral home/elevator music and had to leave.
I will also add that while sometimes I find great deals or cool stuff, they are seriously lacking in the sewing department. They only have a TINY end cap of thread (most craft stores have a while aisle of it) and then they have their own knock off brands of products, and not any of the real brand. Why not have both? Their brand sometimes hits the mark, other times you NEED...
Read moreAwesome store save for one issue I have. These "Bob Ross" themed items and others like them are something I have a problem with. In my own personal opinion, I'm of the stance that nobody in their right mind should offer these items for sale. If you're a fan of Bob Ross as an artist or even as a person, DO NOT BUY THESE PRODUCTS, or anything at all you see w this face or signature. I liken stores selling this stuff to being the same the grocery stores selling tuna that's from companies that were killing the dolphins to catch the tuna. Or buying shoes built by the hands of children in sweat shops, or buying diamonds from companies who rely on slave labor.. Are you catching my drift? Look it up yourself. If you're a Bob Ross fan, Google the story of his legacy and see for yourself how these products are the result of his likeness, and really entire existence, being stolen from his family and used to generate wealth for his supposed "business partners" after he passed away. The whole thing is such a shame. The saddest part is that the majority of Bob Ross fans aren't even aware of this. We're buying a product that we think supports his legacy when in fact the people benefiting are what can only be called an enemy. It sucks because I'm sure even Bob himself wouldn't be the kind of person to say a bad thing about these people even after what they've done to take advantage of him, but truth is these are greedy vile people.. please don't buy these things. Hobby Lobby,, please stop selling these items. Wasn't for these branded items, i'd give this store 5 stars without a second thought, but selling these things to the unknowing public, you're no better than the swewr shop owners or the ones who are profiting from the sale of...
