Whittier pumpkin patch and Christmas trees — Attraction in Whittier

I was really looking forward to coming here to grab some pumpkins for Halloween but they were incredibly over priced. Medium sized pumpkins were 13-15 dollars and small pumpkins were around 8. Meanwhile multiple grocery stores have the bigger pumpkins for 5-7 dollars and 5 dollars for multiple small pumpkins. I wanted so badly to go to a nice pumpkin patch and support a smaller business knowing it would be a little more expensive but these prices were just way too expensive and there wasn't that much variety to be honest. This combined with how small the patch was, the lack of animals when I went, 4 dollar atm fee, and the kids activity themselves, it just felt like something someone can throw together in their backyard. Came in to get a tree, looked pretty straight in the lot, they put it on the wood stand and loaded it up. I don’t know much about how to position trees in the bed of a truck so how they loaded it is how I left it. Took it out and it was completely crooked/lopsided. Called and they said I could came back to get it fixed. I went and turns out it they had cut the tree trunk at an angle not straight. So even with it fixed was still slightly crooked. How they missed they cut it wrong I don’t know. Paid $210 for it. An employee offered for me to get a new one but owner was not on same page and said he’d have to charge me again for a new wood stand. We waited about 25 minutes to get in because they are taking proper precautions in only allowing a small capacity of people from entering. I really didn't mind at all, the other closest place to from my home was almost 1 hour away! The pumpkin patch activities are very well spaced out away and they have a big variety of pumpkins to choose from. Ben at the entrance was very attentive with keeping an eye out with the families making sure they were having fun safely and made small talk with us. That really makes any family feel welcome, they are all very nice. This is our 2nd year coming around and we look forward to (once pandemic is over) spending more time here bringing more...
